21- A Warning

Bulla watched Pan as she trained in one of Brief Manor's training rooms. Her friend's hair was flashing between its midnight black and a golden blonde. Pan panted as loose hair fell from her ponytail and clung to her face and the back of her neck. Bulla had been working out as well, but she couldn't go for as long as Pan could.

It had been a month since the other Saiyans had arrived. They were still adapting to Earth as they adjusted to the new planet. They were all staying at Brief Manor currently, and it seemed they were enjoying it well.

After the Saiyans arrived, Dende had contacted everyone to alert them that the Hiltheans were no longer orbiting Earth. Bulla wanted to view it as a good sign, but she couldn't. She knew better than just to think they would leave, and everyone else knew it too. It would only be a matter of time before the Hiltheans attacked, and everyone wanted to be ready when they did.

Pan let out a small yelp and straightened up from a bar rep she was doing. She clutched her side as Bulla rushed over to her. Pan trained hard when she worked out, and here lately, she could barely move after workout sessions. It worried Bulla how intense Pan got because her friend didn't seem like she was training to get strong. She looked as if she were training to run.

Bulla couldn't blame Pan, though. She saw the look in Kain's eyes as he stared at Pan. It was like a predator about to pounce on his prey. It made Bulla's skin crawl just thinking about it. Bulla had wanted to tell her brother about it several times but didn't. Trunks trained hard as well, so she knew Kain wouldn't have a chance.

"Are you okay?" Bulla asked as she grabbed Pan's shoulder.

"Yeah," she winced as she held her side. "It's just a side-stitch. Why do these things have to hurt so bad?" She groaned.

Bulla's lips twitched slightly. "Maybe it's your body telling you to take a break."

Pan let out a small snort.

"I'm serious," she continued. "You've been training for hours. I have an idea- how about you take a nice shower and get all cleaned up. I'll contact our moms, Marron, Nao, and Astrid, and we can go into the city and go to a bridal store. Your wedding is months away, and you haven't picked out a dress yet."

"You're right," Pan's eyes widened. "I do need to find a dress."

Bulla smiled and nodded her head. For a moment, she was afraid Pan would turn down the idea. "Okay, sounds like we have ourselves a plan then. Go ahead and go up to my room to shower. You can borrow some of my clothes, too."

Pan's lips twitched, "alright. Thanks, Bulla," she said gently.

Bulla knew she was thanking her for more than just the clothes. "You're welcome," she said. She watched as Pan walked out of the room slowly. She needed to shower as well before they left, but first, she had to make sure the other women were available and ready.

"Wow," Nao said after Marron explained what weddings were like on earth. "That's not much different than how we do it on Eris," she said.

Astrid nodded her head with a smile, "it's a big ceremony as well."

"That's great, then," Bulma added with a smile. "Because I plan on the reception being huge!"

Pan found herself smiling as she listened to the women talk and looked at her dress. It was a beautiful spaghetti-strap dress with a low v-neck. The bodice was tight-fitting and made from a sheer fabric that had diamonds sparkled across it. The skirt flowed down into beautiful silk fabric.
