Yumi's POV:
It's been two weeks since that happen..
Two weeks of me feeling like shit!
Bakit ko ba naman kasi binigay sa kanya ang sarili ko?!
"Yumi?" Tawag ng boss kong si Eric.
I looked at him.
"Yes boss?" Tanong ko.
"You got the email? I already sent it to you.." Sagot niya.
"Oh.. Uhmm.. One minute boss.. I'll read it now.." Sagot ko.
He smiled.
"Sure.. Let me know about what you think.. I'll be waiting at my office.." Sagot niya sabay balik sa opisina niya.
Agad kong tinignan ang email niya and it's about a new project.
PROJECT: Resort Construction (Sunset - Batangas Philippines)
Teka..
Ipapadala niya kami sa Pilipinas?
Bakit?!
Agad akong tumayo mula sa kinauupuan ko at pumunta sa opisina ng boss ko.
"Hey.. Yumi.. Have you read my email?" Tanong niya.
"Yes.. Are you telling me that you'll send us to the Philippines?" Tanong ko.
"Well.. Yes.." Sagot niya.
"And since when did we accepted clients overseas?" Tanong ko.
"Since.. now.." Sagot niya.
Walang hiya talaga 'tong si Eric!
Hindi man lang niya inisip na may mga pamilya ang ibang tao ko!
"NOW? So why are you giving this project to me and my team?" Tanong ko.
"Well.. I was thinking that it would be easier for you since your half Filipino.. You know their language and communication would be easier for you.." Sagot niya.
Huminga ako ng malalim.
"And what if.. I don't want this project? What if my team declines?" Tanong ko.
He smirked.
"Then.. you and your team are all fired.." Sagot niya.
"Are you serious?" Tanong ko.
Tumango siya.
"Do I look like I'm joking? I'm dead serious Yumi.." Sagot niya.
Huminga ako ng malalim at tumango.
"Okay then.. When are we leaving?" Tanong ko.
"Next week.." Sagot ko.
Hindi na ako sumagot at basta nalang lumabas sa opisina ni Eric.
