Sam and Dean had Bobby come and take Callum, knowing they wouldn't be able to protect him. The fact they sent him away as soon as the action was about to start seemed unfair to the boy, who just wanted to help.
But he hadn't argued. Sam and Dean were already stressed out enough with adding an angry six year old into the mix.
So now the boy was sat on Bobby's couch, watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the millionth time. Bobby still didn't understand the boys fascination with a school for wizards, but he won't tell the boy that.
"Want a drink or something, kid?" Bobby asked the boy as he stood up.
"Water, please." The boy replied, not taking his eyes off of the television. Bobby chuckled before heading into the kitchen, leaving the boy to watch his film.
And then the door went and Bobby headed to the door, Callum not even batting an eye. Well, until he heard his father's voice. So he stood up, running to hug his father, who lifted the boy up and headed inside, Sam right behind him as the two began explaining what'd happened.
Turned out that they'd failed to kill the yellow eyed demon and Meg had taken John, meaning they had to find him.
So with Callum watching his film again and Sam looking through a book, Bobby entered the room with two different flasks, handing one to Dean.
"Here you go." Bobby told him.
"What is this, holy water?" Dean questioned
"That one is." Bobby replied, before holding up his own flask. "This is whiskey."
He took a drink before handing it to Dean, who also took a drink.
"Bobby, thanks." Dean told him. "Thanks for everything. Thanks for taking Cal."
"Nonsense." Bobby said. "I love that kid."
"Yeah, he has that effect on everyone he meets." Dean chuckled, looking over at the young boy.
"But we gotta concentrate on finding your dad." Bobby told him.
"Bobby, this book.... I've never seen anything like it." Sam said.
Bobby walked over, sitting down on the desk in front of Sam before talking, "Key of Solomon? It's the real deal, alright."
"And these, uh, these protective circles." Sam said. "They really work?"
"Hell, yeah." Bobby replied. "You get a demon in - they're trapped. Powerless. It's like a Satanic roach motel."
Sam chuckled as Dean walked over to take a look, "Man, knows his stuff."
"I'll tell you something else, too." Bobby said. "This is some serious crap you boys stepped in."
"Oh, yeah? How's that?" Sam asked.
"Normal year, I hear of, say, three demonic possessions. Maybe four, tops." Bobby explained.
"Yeah?" Dean said.
"This year I hear of twenty-seven so far." Bobby told them. "You get what I'm saying? More and more demons are walking among us – a lot more."
"That's a lot." Callum said, standing up from the couch.
"Do you know why?" Sam asked.
"No, but I know it's something big." Bobby replied. "The storm's coming, and you boys, your Daddy – you are smack in the middle of it."
There was loud barking from outside, most likely Bobby's Rottweiler, Rumsfeld.
