Today was the day that assistants had to help with filming again, and I met up with Rob. "Hey Christine."
I had to get the makeup for the leeches and stick them on the boys. They were shirtless so I guess you could say that I liked my job.
As I was sticking leeches on Jerry, River looked over to me. "So Max told you?" Each assistant had one boy to work on, and it was kind of awkward talking to him with 3 shirtless boys and 2 grown ladies.
"Can we talk about it after this scene is over?" I asked. He nodded, and we both stayed silent for the rest of the makeup process.
The boys went over to the pond to get ready for the scene, while a producer took me over to another room to work on something. "Work on the clothes again, and inform me on any stains, lint, you get the point." Well now I hated my job again. At least I'll get to see River after this, so that's a plus.
I watched the clothes for about an hour before the lights shut off and Rob said 'have a great day.' River joined me at the exit door near his trailer. "I'm not sure when were moving," He said while he wiped some makeup off his cheeks.
"Why so far away?"
"I don't know. It's just a nice place there... Earthy, and well Gainesville is a perfect place for aspiring new artists. I'm hoping to start a band," He awkwardly itched his head.
"I think that sounds amazing," I smiled enthusiastically. "I can see Aleka's Attic selling out stadiums!" I could see his face light up after I said that.
"Anyways, I wanted to do something... Other than getting high with Corey," He glared at me.
"Where did you wanna go?"
"The strip?" He asked with a hopeful smile. There was a little strip down the beach where they had amusement parks and entertainment extravaganza.
"I don't think I want to walk 5 miles," I said with an unintentionally angry tone, I'm usually always up for an adventure - unless if it involves cardio. He looked pissed off, but eventually, I said yes. A few blocks into the walk, he looked over to me and I could see in his face that he needed to say something."I wasn't sure if you liked me or not."
"Trust me, I wouldn't follow someone for 5 miles if I didn't like them," I joked, but I could tell he took it the wrong way.
"So... Who's your favorite Beatle?" He asked unexpectedly, hoping to change the subject.
"That's a hard one... Probably Paul. Who's yours?" I laughed.
"Ringo. Definitely Ringo," He chuckled.
"What?!" I playfully yelled.
"Ringo's the best. Paul takes all the credit that Ringo, George, and John do." We walked into a sunglasses shop and started trying a few on.
"Well if I may be frank, Paul does all the work," I boasted. He scoffed at me and tried on some really bright orange sunglasses and looked into the mirror.
"Ringo was the drummer though, that takes some skill." He tried on another pair of sunglasses, this time a neon blue one saying '1986' over the eyes.
"Not until they fired Pete," I giggled.
"Well, shit," We both got into a fit of laughs.
That whole day we just talked and found out things about each other. I ran into Darcy in one of the stores. But she wasn't with Corey.
Towards the end, River and I snuck into an 18+ club, where they were blasting the climax of Stairway to Heaven. Everyone at the bars was snorting coke while River and I just bounced around the room, getting high on the guitar riffs. It was a fun feeling, just being carefree.
A commotion started to brew, and we saw a few police men at the door talking to the bouncers. "We gotta go!" I yelled through the thundering music. I locked my hand on River's wrist and we bolted outside before anyone could stop us.
The air was frosty, and the time was 8:36 pm. "We should probably get home." We laughed.
"Some guy offered me a beer." He spun around like he was drunk, practically ignoring what I had just said.
"Shit man, did you actually have the nerve to drink it?" I cackled when he nodded. "Was this your first beer?"
He nodded his head and that's when I knew he was lying. I couldn't go home being all sweaty and worn out and River couldn't go home drunk, so we both just hung around the beach.
"You're so ridiculous!?" He fluttered his eyes and plopped onto the sand.
"I'm ridiculous? Your favorite Beatle is Ringo!" We both laughed for a minute or so until we were out of breath. "River..." He turned to me and hiccuped. "How many beers have you had..."
"Hmmm... 1, 2... Maybe 6."
"At least it's not heroin," I joked.
"Exactly," He laughed.

So Max asked me out yesterday, we went out to see a baseball game and I had a lot of fun. Guess you could say we were an item now. I never thought I'd have a boyfriend, especially one that is as cute as Max.
My phone started to ring, and I picked it up. "Hello?"
"Hey, Chris," River! I haven't seen him since he went to Belize to film The Mosquito Coast, which was only a day after we hung out at the beach.
C: What's up Riv?
R: Filming, long hours really taxes your sanity.
C: Not surprising.
R: At least I'm back in sweet home Oregon.
C: Good, we need to catch up.
R: Definitely, wanna go out for dinner today? You know, like a double date? At Mel's maybe?
C: What do you mean double date?
R: You know, you and Max, and Martha and I.
C: Whose Martha?
R: We met on set.
C: Oh. Well, I guess yeah we could do something. Maybe at 8?
R: Sounds good.
C: See you then. Bye.
R: Bye.
