CHAPTER TWELVE

Chapter Twelve

*Amethyst Yumy Martin*

NAGSIMULA na nga ang practice namin tuwing hapon, mabuti nalang at sinusundo naman ako ni Kuya Brian kaya hindi ako masyadong ginagabi.

"Thank you for all your time guys, our last practice done smoothly. Puwede na tayong umuwi, Salamat!" Ms. Gleya said as a sign of goodbye.

I quickly grabbed my shoulder bag and pick up some of my things then put it inside my bag before finally leaving the glee club room. I stayed on the covered court for a while when my phone rang for someone's message. I scanned my phone and it was Elisse.

Elisse;

Nah Amy, busy kasi si Kuya ngayon eh, may group project silang kailangang tapusin. Is it okay kung kay Zac ka nalang pahatid?

I glared darkly at my phone after I read the last sentence, so they're still unto it. Akala parin nila na kami talaga ni Zac, when the truth is there's nothing going on between us.

With a heavy heart, I typed for a reply.

Ako;

Ha?Magtataxi nalang ako.

Inangat ko ang tingin sa kalangitan, nag-aagaw na ang dilim at liwanag. Ang kahel nitong kulay ang nagpapatunay na malapit ng sumapit ang dilim.

My attention catched when a couple students passed infront of me. They look so inlove, I smiled as I remembered Ivy. Isang linggo na mula nang inamin nya sakin na nanliligaw na sa kanya si Kevin. Ang saya siguro ng kaibigan kong iyon, na crushback ba naman.

I glared at my phone again, but I didn't receive any reply from Elisse.

This cousin has attitude, arghh.

Isang tikhim at napalingon ako sa likuran ko. The smiling Zac blocked my sight, he's wearing his engineering uniform and cooly putting his hands on his slack's pocket.

Too hot, Zac.

"Let's go?" He asked.

"Ha?" wari hindi ko maintindihang tanong.

"U-h, your Auntie called and she requested me to drive you home."

I remained silent for a while, nakatingin naman sya sakin na naninimbang. If I would go with him, that would be an uncomfortable ride pero kung di ako papayag, baka maulit ang nangyari noon at ayoko, ayokong maulit iyon.

So left with no choice, I nodded.

He smiled as he walked with me out of the campus.

"Are you okay?" He interrogate in between the ride, broking the silence.

"A-ayos lang naman."

Wow Amy ha, ayos lang pero nauutal? God, my life is a big lie, geez.

"You wanna eat first?" He questioned again.

A small idea popped up on my mind. I want to take this ride lighter so I smiled.

"I-ikaw? Sige b-ba!" I tried to act excited but still stuttering, damn.

"Let's eat first."

He stopped driving in front of a social restaurant so I felt embarrassed. Kung diyan kami kakain naku! Ang laki ng gastos nun!

My nervousness flipped away on what I saw across the restaurant.

"Diyan na lang tayo oh!" Agad kong agap bago pa kami lumabas.

"Diyan?" He asked curiously.

I smiled. Excitement filled me, ang tagal ko nang di nakakain ng street foods kaya naman sa sobrang excitement ko ay hinila ko na sya papunta doon, nahinto nga lang nang tumikhim sya at nang masulyapan ko ay may naglalarong ngiti na sa labi nya habang nakatingin sa kamay kong hawak ang kamay nya.
