Chapter 20

Everyone is super enthusiastic and the bus sounds loudly full of students. Every time the bus stops for a break, the students run to the toilet. Anna also goes to the bathroom, allowing Dean to throw his legs over the seats as he leans against the bus window.

"Hey, Dean."

"Hey," he says, lowering his legs.

In front of him, Ace leans against the other chair.

"Have a seat," Dean tells him politely.

Ace does what Dean says. "Do you want to stretch?"

"Yes, stretch out after such a long journey," he says with a chuckle.

"And we still have a few hours," Ace says with a sigh.

"That's right, but it's worth it!" Dean says positively.

"Hmmm," Ace says thoughtfully. "Well, if you put it that way, yes."

Dean laughs. "Exactly!"

"Hey, why are you laughing?" Ace wants to know.

"I'm just looking forward to it," he says bouncing.

"Hey silent bouncing ball." and gives Dean a sideways bump. Dean giggles and rubs his arm where Ace hit.

"So what are you going to do when you're in town in Germany?" Ace asks.

"Hmm," Dean thinks for a moment. "Probably Anna wants to visit different shops."

"Aahh the girls' stuff like shopping."

"It's not my thing either, but yeah," Dean tells him and laughs.

"Have fun," says Ace.

"Thanks, what are you going to do in town?" He asks curiously.

"Well, I just had to look around, but I was asked to be with Diva and King and a few more people," says Ace.

"That sounds nice," says Dean.

Ace nods, even though he preferred to be with Dean. Some children have already come back on the bus. Ace gets up. "Then I'll go back to my place," he says.

Dean nods briefly. "Okey is good, bye-bye"

When Ace is gone, Anna pops into the chair. "Man what a relief."

"Too much information," Dean says with a laugh.

"What, we've known each other for a long time," says Anna, who starts to laugh.

"That's right, that's right," he says and so the bus leaves for Germany.

And then they finally arrived in Germany. The bus stops at a train station where the students can tour the city. Anna walks around town with Dean and a few girls while Ace does the same with his friends. They both have a great time in the city in Germany. After the city, they go to the house where they all stay. Everyone is put in rooms there so that everyone can unpack their belongings. And after that, they have to gather at the dining room to eat. So that they can then do a treasure hunt through the forest in the dark. Dean sits at the table with Anna and her friends. Ace with his friends. From time to time Dean and Ace look at each other from the corner of their eye. But just so that nobody realizes. And luckily no one realizes. This way they keep making eye contact until the end of the meal. Then they must all gather for the scavenger hunt.
When everyone is there, the teacher starts talking. "Okay before we start we have divided everyone into teams." A few people sigh because they are expected to be allowed to choose for themselves. The teacher calls each group one by one and they can leave immediately.
