Chapter 8

Flashback - Storybrooke - Years Ago

Vivian was behind the counter in her shop as she looked through her appointment book, Zelena was redoing a display on a mannequin and looked up when the door opened and she saw David.

"Unless you're remarrying Snow, I think you're in the wrong shop," Vivian said with a smile.

David chuckled, "You weren't at the docks," David said.

"Why would she need to be at the docks?" Zelena asked.

"James... Oh, David... I completely forgot we have a lot of fittings today," Vivian said.

"It's okay, don't worry about it," David said and walked to the door.

"Viv, go on, you've never missed a year since you came back from the Underworld, don't start now," Zelena said and walked behind the counter, she looked at the book, "Okay, we've got a delivery in an hour and a fitting in three, I can cope," Zelena said.

"Okay," Vivian nodded and picked up her jacket then walked out of the shop with David, "Have you been Game of Thorns yet?" She asked him.

"Not yet," David said.

"Okay," Vivian nodded as they walked to the flower shop.

The next day, Adaline walked into the bar and Roni looked at her shocked.

"What is it?" Adaline asked her.

"I didn't think I'd see you this early," Roni said.

"I'm not that early," Adaline rolled her eyes and walked behind the bar.

"So, how were the drinks?" Roni asked.

"They were lovely, thank you, but it would've been better without you looking at us every five seconds," Adaline said and Roni smiled at her, "So, why did Henry have drinks with Ivy last night?"

"I have no idea," Roni said.

"Oh, Rogers is coming over soon, he's bringing a box with some information in about the missing girl case," Adaline said.

"Why?" Roni asked.

"He doesn't trust the station with it and I said we could hold it here for him... Sorry, I should've asked," Adaline said.

"It's fine, I would've agreed," Roni said and Henry walked in.

"Hey Henry," Adaline said.

"Hello, when is Rogers coming over?" Henry asked and sat at the bar.

"Soon," Adaline said as she put glasses away from the dishwasher.

Minutes later, Rogers brought in a box and placed it on the bar and he shows Henry what little information he has on the missing girl case.

"Well, I'm no cop, but for a case about a missing girl, that doesn't seem like a whole lot of evidence," Henry said.

"Which makes Eloise Gardener's disappearance all the more difficult to solve," Rogers said.

"The case went cold about 10 years ago this month... It's become a kind of side project of mine," Rogers said.

"Why is it so important to you?" Henry asked.

"We've all got things that gnaw at us," Adaline looked at Rogers, "As I said last night, the keg room has a strong room. So, we're good," Adaline said.
