CAMILLA'S P.O.V

I sat down at the dining room table, a plate already sitting in my spot. That was weird. When I went over to Billie's house, we all ate dinner together but it wasn't ever that quiet. Billie and Finneas were constantly arguing or hyping each other up. Maggie was always having to ask Billie to stop using so many "profane words."

I smiled, picking up my fork and poking at the broccoli.

There was never a dull moment with them. I already missed harassing Claudia or yelling at Finneas to get his girlfriend. Or listening to Billie run around the house singing stupid, silly, made-up songs. That house was filled to the brim with perfect chaos.

I was broken from my thoughts as Alexis starts talking. "Are you enjoying Michigan so far?"

I shrugged. "It's already much more rainy."

"Yeah. I bet." She laughed.

I slouched down in my seat. I didn't feel like eating. It wasn't that I wanted to go home or that I missed California. I missed Billie. I missed Claudia and Fin. I missed Maggie and Patrick with his rude self—always acting like he didn't remember me. It only worked the first time though.

Alexis twisted her fork around in her hand, looking down at my untouched plate. "I don't really—uh... I don't know what your mom used to do for dinner. Is this okay? Do you like this?"

I nodded. "Yeah, she didn't really do anything for dinner. She wasn't usually home."

"Oh."

-

"I should just fly to Michigan over the weekend," Billie said through the phone and laughed. "Pop by real quick."

"Oh. That reminds me—"

"I can't see you, hoe."

"I know. That's kind of the point. I'm looking wack right now."

"Set your phone up where I can see you." She tapped the camera violently.

"No."

"I'm gonna hang up on you."

"Fuck you." I set my phone up against the headboard, flipping her off and lowering my voice to a whisper. "My sister's like obsessed with you."

"For real?"

My eyes widened as I nod. "Her room scares me. You'd love it. She's like somehow even more obsessed with you than you are."

"Nuh-uh. I'm my biggest fan, bitch."

I shook my head. "No. She's got posters all around her room. The records for your albums are hung on the wall. She has so many Blohsh hoodies. It's so weird going into her room. Your face is everywhere."

She scoffed. "She sounds more interesting than you. Put her on."

I laughed. "No. She won't even come in here when you're on the phone because she gets embarrassed so damn easily."

I watched as Billie stuffed a Taki in her mouth. "How old is she?"

"Uh... fifteen, I think."
