BILLIE'S P.O.V

"Camilla." I looked up at her questioningly as I thought of something.

"What?"

"Do you have your driver's license?"

She raised her eyebrows, her cheeks turning pink. "Of course, I do."

I gasped. "Camillao Camino Valentina Ramirez! Are you lying to me right now?"

"If you ever say that again, I will knock your teeth out." She pointed her brush at me.

"And if you don't put some pants on." I wrapped my legs around her and pulled her towards me. "I will—"

"Don't finish that sentence."

I laughed. "All I was going to say is that I will have to give you some sweatpants."

"I think these shorts will do." She smirked and got back up to finish brushing her hair.

"Are you hungry," I asked, deciding to ignore her sly remark.

"Kind of."

"Come on." I opened my bedroom door and my mom looked up from her book at us surprisedly.

"Well, good morning." She laughed and then shook her head as she returned to her book.

"Good morning."

"Morning." I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and glanced down at the book. "What are you reading?"

She just shrugged.

"Are you hungry?"

"Yeah. I was about to get up and make something."

"No, it's okay. I got it." I stood up straight. "Is everybody cool with waffles?"

"Yep."

Camilla nodded and I pulled out a pan from the cabinet.

"Claudia and Finneas are gonna come over in a little bit."

I sighed heavily. I enjoyed them coming over so much but it wouldn't be nearly as fun if everybody knew that I did, now would it?

"Shut up. You're gonna live. You might make a few extra in case they want some."

"Okay."

Camilla leaned against the counter by the fridge and watched me, clearly amused.

"The fuck are you looking at?" I smiled.

"I'm just surprised that you're making something that doesn't have to go in the microwave." She shrugged.

"Wow," I said, my voice jaded. "You're so fucking funny. I can only aspire to be like you. A comical genius for sure."

"Don't worry." She shook her head. "It didn't all happen over night for me. You'll get here one day, kid. Of course, by then, I'll be far above this so you can never truly catch up but..." She shrugged. "You can dream."
