Chapter 21

"Yes Yna, I will help you." he said. 

Up until now I still can't believe he's doing this. The Kian I used to know before isn't like this. He will never ever help me. Kahit nasasaktan na ako... wala lang siyang pakialam. Kaya ngayon, hindi ako makapaniwala.

"Help me then." I said. I will use this as an advantage. Wala namang mawawala sa akin. Wala na rin akong pakialam kung kamuhian ako ni Kian buong buhay niya. Sanay na akong kamuhian niya... at ng mga tao.

"No way, Yna." that was Mom.

"Just this time, Mommy, let me help you." pagod kong sabi at saka pumunta na sa kuwarto para makapagpahinga.

After Kian and I agreed, I immediately told it to Mom. As usual, she can't agree but I am willing and very desperate.

Natulugan ko ang sakit na nararamdaman ko but at least... there's already hope. 

Sana nga...

One morning, I wasn't expecting Josh to see him outside the room. He's looking at me and there's something in his eyes that he's controlling.

"Good morning." I greeted him.

Hindi ko na hinintay na mabati niya ako, agad na akong pumasok.

"Are you okay?" he asked. I paused for a moment. My brows arched and then I looked at him.

I nodded.

"Yeah, why?" nagtataka kong tanong.

"These past few days you seemed too preoccupied and... you're not replying to my texts." he said.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Josh. Naging busy lang." 

These past few days I was being too preoccupied. I have no time to socialize, tanging naiisip ko lang ay ang naging problema namin. 

"Are you sure?" he asked again. He must be worried so I assured him that I am perfectly fine. I guess I am already fine.

"Yes, Josh. Pasensiya na talaga. Babawi na lang ako sa iyo." I smiled which made him smile too.

"That's good news, Josh. Ibig sabihin may tiwala sa iyo ang magulang mo... at inaasahan ka nila sa business niyo." I tried my voice to be cheerful in front of him.

"Yes, Yna. But... you know, I am pressured." my eyes narrowed. 

"Bakit naman?"

"Ewan ko, pero kasi ang laking tiwala na binigay sa akin." he said.
