Chapter 02

"Ako na gagawa," Sabi ko matapos isulat ang mga dapat gawin sa report namin.

"Hala! Ang bait mo talaga, Ady!"

It was a group report and it should be done by a team. Pero habang sinusulat ko ang mga gagawin ay nagtuturuan sila sa mahirap na parte ng report, nagsusumbatan pa.

"Tamad ka lang talaga, Wendy," Pang aasar ng isa kong kagrupo bago ako tinapik sa braso. "Salamat Ady, una na 'ko."

Simple akong tumango bilang tugon.

"Asar! Ang bobo naman," Bulong ni Wendy at tumayo na rin. She joined her friends who were waiting by the door. Narinig ko na nagrereklamo ang mga ito sa pinagagawa sa kanila ng leader nila.

"Si Ady ang gagawa nung amin," Pagmamayabag ni Wendy.

I sighed as I started to gather my things from the desk.

Some would say that I'm a pushover for letting them make me do their work but I'm already used to it. Besides, I don't want to argue and I certainly don't like petty fights with some else. Also, I'd rather do it to make sure we're getting an A.

I just prayed that they will be ready once they step into the real world. That's why we're studying and attending the school so we'll be fully prepared. It's their loss, not mine.

Kahit naman marami akong ginagawa na school works ay may chill time pa rin ako. Once I finished everything, I'd make sure to reward myself by watching a K-drama for sure. Time management lang. Kaya nga may reminder ako ng tasks sa phone. To make sure I'm not wasting my time.

"Sayang 'no? Magkasama sana kayo ni Clark sa Manila," Julia said that made me creased my forehead. Nilingon ko siya sa kinauupuan niya.

She's the Vice President of the Student Council back in Senior High School. Classmate ko siya sa ilang subject ngayong college. We're civil but definitely not close. I caught her once bad mouthing me with her friends. Hindi ko naman pinatulan dahil sabi ko nga, ayoko ng mababaw na away.

And Clark? Clarkson Mijarez is the Student Council President whom Julia vocally likes.

"Gumawa na ang tadhana para paghiwalayin kayo,"

I tried to stop myself from scowling. Instead, I pursed my lips so I could prevent myself from talking back.

Well, Clark was a suitor of mine. Was.

Yeah, we clicked and understand each other but I don't see myself being with him. Like in a relationship. Kaya bago pa mag graduation ay sinabi ko na sa kanya iyon dahil ayaw kong umasa pa siya. Siguro ito rin ang rason kung bakit masama ang timpla sa akin ni Julia.

"Julia, first of all, we're not together, and please don't mention fate to me,"

She shouldn't use the word to me. I know the meaning of it.

I wasn't sarcastic at all and my tone was full of respect as I don't want to be misunderstood. Pero kagaya ng madalas na nangyayari ay kabaligtaran nito ang nangyari.

Pabadog siyang tumayo sa upuan at tinabig pa ako nung dumaan siya sa tagiliran ko.

"Malandi." Hindi nakatakas sa pandinig ko ang sininghal niya kaya napailing na lang ako. Niyuko ko ang nalaglag na ballpen ko sa pagkadali niya sa akin mula sa sahig.

A person who's close minded for an explanation doesn't deserve one. Dapat talaga hindi na lang ako nagsalita pa. I'm afraid she's too pissed and spread lies about me again.
