Out of one of Kurumi's shadows, Shido watched as a person, long thought to be dead, emerged from it. That human flew on to his feet with injuries that would have put a man down. (Y/N) (L/N), was alive, half-dead but alive.
"Oh, he escaped, it seems that the other mes did a terrible job to reawaken the legend." Kurumi said.
Legend, what is she talking about sure (Y/N) is capable of superhuman feats but as far as I know, there is nothing else special about him. Shido thought to himself.
"Well, what a waste, time t-" Kurumi began.
Suddenly, something knocked Kurumi into a tree with incredible speed.
"That was a close call, are you unharmed?" Mana asked.
Mana was between both Kurumi and Shido ready for a fight.
"Mana."
"Yeah, I'm sure you're surprised." Mana said.
"Ara ara, don't you think you are being rude by interrupting me?" Kurumi asked as she stood up.
"We'll talk later, Nii-sama, this will be soon over," Mana said.
A mechanism on Mana's arm shifted as it shot out several lazers at Kurumi. Kurumi dodged the projectiles, twirling around as an evasive maneuver. Mana smiled as she moved her fingers around for the lazers to hit Kurumi.
The lazers pierced her Astral dress and into Kurumi's waist. Out of her mouth a sliver of blood flowed out before she collapsed to the ground with a pool of blood forming. Mana approached Kurumi with a plasma blade to finish the job.
"Wait, Mana don't, don't kill her!" Shido shouted.
"Nii-sama, you are just too forgiving." Mana whispered to herself.
"Just as I thought, you would be the only one who would care about someone like me..." Kurumi gasped out as the blade was buried in her head.
Mana then turned to the body in front of Shido, (Y/N), who was giving into his injuries.
"Now look at you, on the ground half-dead with a variety of injuries, you look like you've been through hell during a day or two since you've been missing." Mana commented. "Nightmare did a terrible job trying to kill you, now time for me to put you out of your misery."
Before she could get any closer, Shido stepped in between Mana and the still breathing (Y/N).
"What are you doing, he is a danger to be eliminated." Mana reasoned.
"I am not letting you take some else's life," Shido said. "How are you fine with this, the idea of taking someone's life?"
"Nii-Sama, I am just used to it and anyways, Nightmare isn't your normal Spirit." Mana said. "She always comes back, no matter how how many times I kill her."
Shido's eyes widened, Mana took the chat to step past Shido.
"Where did he go."
On board Fraxinus
"Quick, is the chamber filled yet?" Kotori asked.
"Yes it is." Reine answered.
"Alright put him in." Kotori ordered.
Two men put (Y/N) in a capsule filled with a green fluid. Monitors flashed showing his vitals in front of Reine and Kotori.
"Poor boy, what have they done to you?" Reine commented as she started the healing process.
