Y/N's P.O.V.
I wake up with a book on my face as I wear my day clothes. I climb down the ladder to the floor. I look at Harrison, who's sound asleep. I can't help but smile. There's just something about him that makes me want to hop up and down in pure childish joy.
I don't bother changing my clothes as I walk out of the tent. I stare off into the thick forest surrounding me. I start walking. I couldn't control myself as I walk through the forest. Trees started to melt around me as I kept walking. I couldn't stop. I couldn't turn around. I could only walk. I focused on my breathing as the trees melted. I start panicking when I suddenly appear next to an octopus?
I stare at the eight-legged creature in confusion as an omniscient voice rings. The voice was surprisingly normal though. Like it's just an average chap goin' to his first day to his first job. "Hello Y/N! You must be confused."
"Wha- Whatzi-. Who?.. Are you God?".
My question was ignored as the octopus rings, "You know Harrison, right?".
"Y-yeah?".
"Tell him that his brother says 'Hi' for me."
"Wha-? Hold up. Who-?".
"Tell Harrison that his brother says 'Hi' for me. Harrison's a lucid dreamer, so I can't control his dreams."
"Uhh.."
I slowly faded away as the octopus waves goodbye.
I snap back to reality. "The fuck? What type of dream was that?".
Harrison hears me mumbling to myself. I know because he shuffled out of bed to look up at me with groggy eyes. I turn to look at him as he asks, "Are you okay?".
"Uhh. Your brother. says. Hi?".
He looks at me, furrows his eyebrows, and goes back to sleep.
Harrison's P.O.V.
My brother? How would she know him? Is this some sort of joke? I must be dreaming. I try to escape to a different dream. ...This is not a dream.
Y/N peers her head from her pile of clothes to look at me as I shuffle closer to the tent wall. "An omniscient octopus man told me to tell you that," She tells me.
She climbs down the bed ladder and asked, "You good there?".
"Yeah. I'm just cold."
I told the truth. It was kind of chilly as it was probably 4 A.M. and the wind that seeped through the paper-thin tent didn't help. I turn over to look at her. Y/N flopped onto my bed face first and groaned. It is really early in the morning, huh?
I crack a slight smile as she gets up and admits, "I'm super tired now."
I give her a comforting smile as she slowly climbs up the bed ladder and proceeds to pass out on her pile of clothes. I stare up at the mattress overhead as I slowly fall asleep myself.
Our sleep did not last long.
Y/N's P.O.V.
Our peace and comfort were stripped away from us as soon as it was given as Counselor David practically screamed from a distance, "GOOD MORNING CAMPERS!!!".
I groan as I flop to the side of my bed. I climb down the bed ladder and walk with Harrison, who able to change into his day clothes in the time it took for me to crawl out of bed. We walk to the voice.
Harrison and I stand in front of the fireplace as David's cheery smile compliments his beaming, cheerful eyes. I hate it. I am too tired for this shit. I just want to flop back into bed and sleep.
Gwen stands tiredly next to David with dark bags under her exhausted eyes. She feels the same way I do.
David waits for the rest of the campers to walk here. Neil and his friends walk over. One has poofy, black hair that's about the same size as his head. He has dull emerald eyes that look like a cat's. He wore a basic blue sweater with a sad sky-blue pocket and hood. There was a Camp Campbell shirt underneath, which was a basic yellow shirt. He was taking the lead, indicating that he was the leader of the group.
There was also a girl. She had turquoise hair that was more green than blue/ She wore a Camp Camp shirt just like the boy. She had red overalls with yellow buttons. Her hot pink eyes showed that she was the only person here that she was the only one that was ready for the day, except for David.
I tapped Harrison on the shoulder and asked, "Who are those people?".
He looks over at the trio and says, "Nikki, Max, and Neil."
Harrison said 'Neil' like it's a disease. I don't ask about it. I'll ask later.
A bunch of other kids showed up, and one, in particular, caught my eye. I don't know how I didn't notice him before. He had dark auburn hair and yellow eyes. He had an odd, to say the least, fashion choice. He looked like a theater actor from the 15 hundreds. I'm not sure how else to describe him. He walked tiredly with slightly noticeable bags under his eyes.
I'm not sure how I missed him yesterday. I must be blind. His head was dragged with his body as he tried to carry himself. I poke Harrison's shoulder, but he doesn't notice. I poke him a little harder and whisper to him, "Pssst."
Harrison notices and grabs my hand weakly as he turns his head to look at me. "Yeah?".
"Who's that?" I whisper to him as I motion my head toward the theater kid.
Harrison Turns his head to look at the boy. He looks back at me and tells me, "That's Preston. He's part of Theater Camp."
Harrison spoke too loudly. I hear Preston march forward with dainty steps. The theater boy pokes his head into my vision. I pretend to not notice. He slips up to stand about 45 degrees to my right. His hand rested on his chest with his elbow outstretched to exaggerate movement as he spoke. "Someone spoke of my name?".
Preston is loud. It is way too early to be screaming. I look at Preston and give him a smile. I didn't wanna be a jerk. I greet him, "Hi! You must Preston. Right?".
