Sorry it's super late! I fell asleep listening to music after all night of working on a future YT series and couldn't hear my alarm to post because the music was playing and I was dead asleep. :,<

Harrison's P.O.V.

I carefully climb over things and duck under branches to avoid making too much noise. The trees are good at two things: Stopping most of the rain, and canceling the noise.

Everything was quiet and calm. The rain sounds like a distant patter from underneath the canopy instead of the horrible storm from the exposed outdoors.

Then, Y/N starts to speak.

Y/N's P.O.V.

"It's nice isn't it?".

A long pause began as I stopped moving. I stood next to a pine tree as Harrison spoke up, "H-How did you notice me?".

I pivot on my heel to look at him. I raise an eyebrow as he walks over to me. "Just a feeling," I tell him as he stops walking about a yard away from me. I step forward towards him and grab his arm. I ask "Why did you follow me?".

"I wanted to make sure you didn't get lost. I don't want the new camper to go missing on their first day!" Harrison chuckled as he scratches the back of his head.

"Oh, okay! Speaking of lost."

Harrison stares at me as I start laughing. I tell him, "Just joking! I know where we are for the most part."

He sighs in relief. I'm guessing that if I was getting lost, he was gonna get lost with me. I smile at him as I begin walking back to camp. He follows next to me.

We get back out of the forest to camp and it wasn't raining anymore. Guess it really was a freak storm. I watch as Harrison takes the lead and walks me back to the Mess Hall.

We get back and everyone already left and went back to their camps. I sigh in relief. I won't have to be in the same room as Nerf. I watch as Harrison redirects our path and we start heading to his camp. I look at the sky and see that it was getting dark. I become calm and relaxed as the cool afternoon breeze of the summer settled in my lungs.

I ask the sky, "Where am I supposed to sleep?".

Harrison replies, "I don't know, we should ask David."

I question why people called the counselors by their first names. It seems kind of disrespectful. But when I think of it these kids are just that. Except for Harrison. I ask him, "Where is David?".

He replies, "I don't know, but I'll help you find him!".

I smile at Harrison as he starts walking in a random direction. I followed. Maybe I am a lap dog. I continue walking as I realize this. The dirt floor looks really interesting now that I'm embarrassed. I shrug it off. So a bunch of kids made fun of me. It's not like it'll kill me!

I look up from the floor. I see 7 tents lined up with the 1st on my right side. I see a cabin nearby with a large sign titled, 'COUNSELORS', so I tug on Harrison's sleeve and point over to the cabin as I say, "Do you think they'd be in there?".

Harrison gave me a froggy smile as he says, "Hmm. Probably!".

We walk over there and I knock on the door confidently and bravely! Just joking. I asked Harrison to knock on the door because I was scared. He knocks on the door and about 10-20 seconds later the door opens up revealing David!

He gives us a bright, carefree smile as he cheers, "Howdy campers! Do you need help with anything?".

I sheepishly ask, "Where am I supposed to sleep?".

David looks at me with a look in his eyes. They scream, 'OH SHIT!!'.

David puts his head behind the door and asks Gwen to bring the tent chart. Gwen walks over after a little while and David looks at the tent chart. He looks back at me and says, "Well, it looks like there aren't any more open tents. Looks like you'll be having a tent partner! Which tent will you join? The choices are Nerris, who's part of the LARPing Camp, Preston, who's part of the Theatre Camp, Dol..."

I started to tune him out as Harrison whispered to me, "Can you be my tent partner? It's kind of boring on my own."

I give him a slight smile as David finishes the list of kids. I ask the tall man, "Can I be tent partners with Harrison?".

David gives a bright smile as he cheers, "Sure thing! That sounds like fun! Harrison, are you fine with this?".

Harrison nods his head. We give each other giddy, happy smiles as David writes down my name onto the tent chart. Harrison and I walk out of the cabin and to the tents. The sack tied to my backpack started to feel less heavy and restricting, now it just swung by my side. as I look at Harrison, listening as he talks about how much fun it'll be to have a tent partner.

I look up at the night sky once he stops talking and it had to be around 8. The cool air made every muscle in my body chill as the fresh pine tree smell made me sleepy. We get to the tent and, which was really small. It could probably only comfortably fit 1 person.

Harrison pulls back the paper tent's flap and gestures me to go inside.

I walk in and become impressed. It was a lot smaller on the inside. Most likely because of all the stuff scattered around. There were cards, a bag full of clothes, and newspapers set around messily, yet almost seeming planned. Very messy-looking, but definitely on purpose. It's an aesthetic choice people make to make the place seem more relaxed and care-free. Like when a traditional paper artist puts their markers and pencils next to their work to make it seem more home-made, thus sacrificing professionalism for a more open and happy feel.

I turn around to watch as Harrison walks inside. He looks at the inside of his tent and is instantly reminded that he has a mess of a tent. I sigh and tell him, "I'll help you clean up."
