Later on, I have a few sentences where the punctuation looks like this (!). That's the quiet version of an exclamation point.

Y/N's P.O.V.

I stumble on my feet and almost fall forward stopping myself. I turn my head to the voice and see Harrison casually walk towards me. "I'm tired," I sigh out as I slump my head onto Harrison's chest. I groan. Harrison places his arm on my back. I hear Nerris say from my side. She's probably very confused right now. "Yes! Fool the enemy into trusting you!".

"Uh. Harrison, you know Nerris, right?".

He glared at her with rage as he spoke, "Yes."

"Nerris, Harrison is my friend, so I can't destroy him!".

Nerris looks at me like I insulted her mom. "How can you be friends with him?".

I tell her, "I like him!".

Harrison catches his breath out of, what I assume is, surprise. I continue, "Of course I'm gonna be friends with people I like!".

I look back at Harrison. His face was tomato-red as he stuttered for words. I should've watched what I said. I look back at Nerris, who tells me, "Well, I suppose I will have to 'deal with it' as most commoners say."

She asks me and Harrison, "Do you guys wanna go to the pier?".

We accept. I'm a little skeptical. Harrison tells her, "Y/N, can I talk to you in our tent? I have to ask you something."

I reply, "Uh. Sure!".

Harrison asks, "C- May I?".

He holds out his hand as he slightly bows forward. I chuckle and place my hand onto his. We started to walk to our tent. We go inside and he tells me, "How long have you known Nerris for?".

"About 20 minutes. Why?".

"How do you feel about her?".

I didn't want to be mean, but I couldn't lie to Harrison, "I don't like her. She's a little-..."

I tried to find the words. Harrison rejoices, "Great! I need your help with something."

"What is it?".

He creeps up to my ear as if someone's listening to us. Actually, I do feel as though I being watched.

Harrison whispers, "I'm gonna push Nerris into the river(!)".

I whisper back, "What(!) Why?".

He tells me, "So when David comes and sees that I'm saving her from the water, I'll look like a nice person(!) Pretty smart, huh?".

I answer, "You're saving her after almost killing her?!".

Harrison is taken aback by my question. He really didn't think this through did he?

Harrison's P.O.V.

I tell Y/N my incredible plan, and she yelled at me about it! I thought she would be more okay with this.

Y/N's P.O.V.

For the record, I am not on board with this half-baked prune pie of a plan.

Harrison's P.O.V.

I tell her, "What's wrong with my plan?".

She tells me, "Um. Everything?".

I frown and ask her, "What specifically?".

"Well, the fact that you're thinking of harming someone to look better in front of others is kind of an asshole thing to do."

She sounds angry. I place my hands onto her shoulders and stare straight into her eyes. She's not joking. I tell her begrudgingly, "Okay. You've convinced me. I won't push Nerris into the creek."

"Do you promise?" She asks, grabbing my left hand with her right.

I smile warmly and tell her, "I promise."

Hope you guys enjoyed this! The next chapter will only be a little longer than 500 words as well. It will be posted by my regular schedule. I just thought it'd be better if I split it up like this. I think it'll be more suspenseful like that, ya' know?
