ch. 36: "a drunken night"

Luke's P.O.V

I didn't really want to go with Sabrina, but I had to. It would blow my cover. We went into a random restaurant we've found, she yanked me inside, almost making me trip.

"What would you like to order?" a waiter went up to us, he had a notepad in his hand and he was shirtless with his toned abs showing.

"I would like two of the best dish you have on the menu!" Sabrina chirped, handing him the menu's.

"Coming right up." he winked at her, I leaned forward on the table and took out my phone, feeling as bored as ever.

"Luke, will you please turn off your phone and atleast spend some quality time with me?" she grabbed my phone and hid it in her purse.

"Give me my phone back." I frowned at her.

"No."

"Give it back."

"Fine." she handed me my phone again, and I annoyingly stuffed it back in the front pocket of my shorts, "Let's talk."

"About what?"

"Us. You know I still exist right?" she looked up at me, smiling.

"Obviously." I retorted.

"Seriously, why the hell are you being like this?! I thought you asked me to be your girlfriend because you really liked me!" she started whining, everyone around us started to look and I was getting embarassed.

"I still like you, now shush." I hushed her, and she immidately smiled and leaned forward to leave a quick kiss on my cheek.

"I love you." she pulled away. looking into my eyes, yet I felt nothing.

"I l-" I almost said, but the waiter came back just in time.

"Here are the two special dishes you ordered and a bottle of wine!" he tried flirting with Sabrina but she wasn't paying any attention to her.

"Thanks." I smiled at him, and he walked away, disappointed. Atleast I know Sabrina really does like me.

There was an awkward silence between us for 3-5 minutes so I decided to take out my phone from my shorts.

"Don't you even dare to pull out that phone or I will throw it in the water." she threatened me, not looking away from the amazing view. I still did it anyways. She responded by getting up and leaving the restaurant.

Shit.

I quickly took out my wallet and left a hundred dollar bill, not caring if it was too much and I caught up to her, Sabrina tripped on a passing turtle, causing me to laugh. She looked up and pushed me away as I tried to help her up.

"Get away from me!" she shouted, frustration was spread across her face as she tried to get up.

"Why?' I asked innocently, still helping her up.

"Because you don't love me!" she cried, letting her inner emotions out.

"Sabrina-" I tried defending myself but she cuts me off.

"No, Luke. I feel like whatever I do, or try to do.. I feel like this relationship is just bullshit." she says, hiccuping.

"Sabrina, stop. You know I like you." I lied, I needed to do this.

"Really now? Because I know there's something behind all this." she stands up and moves closer to me, "I know this is all a plan to get back Tatiana."

My heart fastened.

"Yes it is." I gave up, putting my hands in my hair.

"See?! This relationship was utter bullshit! I can't believe I even fell for you! Huh, silly me right?" she started to laugh as she cried, making me very uncomfortable.
