⚖️ CHAPTER XXV ⚖️

Zoei's POV

"Are you really okay?" Tatcher asked with worry all over his face.

Bumilis na naman ang tibok ng puso ko sa mga tanong niya at sa expression na pinapakita niya. Putcha naman. Malala na to.

Tumango na lang ako dahil pagod na ako kakasagot sa kanya at hindi pa rin siya naniniwala.

"How many times will you ask her that? She's clearly fine now. Wag kang OA masyado dahil napaghahalataan ka. Nothing to worry about." Doc Andrea answered him with her arms crossed.

She's a good friend of Tatcher and the company's doctor. A really beautiful woman with a beautiful brain too.

Dinala agad nila ako dito sa clinic after my nosebleed. That hideous man was arrested by the police and Tatcher won't stop pressing charges against him. At hindi rin siya tumitigil kakatanong if I'm okay and if he needs to take me to the hospital.

I smiled at him for assurance. "Tatcher, I'm really fine. You should go now. Kawawa naman iyong secretary mo na kanina pa nag-aantay sayo sa labas."

I heard na nakaschedule ngayon ang board meeting nila. It was actually delayed due to the incident.

Napabuntong hininga na lang siya then held my hand. "I'm really sorry for what happened earlier. If you need anything, just tell Andrea, okay?"

I can't stop looking at his face with his expression. Why am I falling deeper? Is there even a way out of this?

He came closer to and kissed my forehead.

"I'll be going now love. Take a rest. I'll pick you up after my meeting. "

I nodded my head for a response because I don't know what to say. Maybe I'm overwhelmed- there's definitely no way out of this. Hulog na
hulog na ako. My heart won't stop beating fast.

Nang makaalis si Tatcher ay biglang nagsalita si Doc Andrea.

"Thank you."

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Why are you thanking me?"

She sat on the chair beside on my bed.

"For bringing my friend back? It's been years since I saw him like that."

Nakangiti niya akong tinignan. "He suffered a lot. Maybe you're the one that can finally heal him. Just be patient on him because sometimes he has an attitude."

"Napakasungit ng lalaking iyon. Akala mo may dalaw lagi." I responded.

She chuckled. "I'm glad he met you. Again."

What she said confuses me. Again? Maybe she's talking when we're schoolmates in college?

Tumayo siya sa pagkakaupo. "Anyway  you need to rest now. You're too exhausted. If you need anything, just call me, okay?"

"Thanks for your help doc."

"Andrea would be fine."

Ngumiti ako sa sinabi niya. "Thanks then Andrea."

She smiled at me then left the room.

I'm still wondering on what she said. Anong nangyari kay Tatcher that made him suffer? Did something happened to him after college? Wala naman akong nabalitaan aside from his success.

After minutes of thinking ay tuluyan na akong dinalaw ng antok. I really did not get sleep because of Markian. Maybe it's good if I can rest a bit.
