⚖️ CHAPTER VII ⚖️

Zoei's POV

Kasalukuyan akong naglalakad palabas ng korte. Katatapos lang ng unang hearing namin sa kaso ni David. Masasabi kong we're not in a great situation right now. The prosecution is really eager na madiin siya. I'm also worried dahil ang kalaban ko ay isa sa mga pinakamagagaling na prosecutor sa bansa- Keith Saavedra. That guy is a genius. I really need to come up with something that can blow this thing up or else, we will lose this one.

"Atty. Tan, it's nice to see you here. What a very beautiful lady you really are." said the great prosecutor while flashing his amazing smile. He clearly have the looks- his build is on par with Tatcher.

Teka, bat ko ba naaalala ang taong iyon sa kanya?

"Mabola ka talaga Prosecutor Keith. No wonder maraming babaeng nahuhumaling sayo." sagot ko sa kanya habang umiiling.

Tumawa naman siya. "Hindi naman attorney. Medyo lang. By the way, a though case you have there. You never lost a case right? Will it be your first time? " he asked habang sinasabayan akong maglakad.

Tumango naman ako. "It surely is difficult. But you know I love challenges like this. I will be delighted if I will win this one especially if you're the the one I'm against with."

He smirked. "We'll see if who will be victorious in the end. Wanna grab lunch with me?" he asked.

Pinagsingkitan ko siya ng mata. "You're not trying to hit on me, right?" I asked.

"It's just a simple lunch Zoei. Come on." sabi niya sabay kaladkad sa akin papunta sa isang restaurant na malapit.

This restaurant has really great food. Glad I came here with Keith. Magpapalibre ako kay Zamora dito para naman mabawasan ang pera ng tukmol na un. Nauubos na ang pera ko kakaluto ng kakainin niya- sobrang takaw pa man din nun.

"That's your third dish Zoei. Dahan dahan lang. Hindi ka mauubusan ng pagkain" he said with an amused face.

Subo lang ako ng subo. Di niya ako mapipigilan. This is my first meal this day at gutom na gutom ako. Masyado akong nagmamadali kanina para magbreakfast. I just grabbed a cup of coffee tas dumiretso na ako sa korte.

"Libre mo na to kaya lulubusin ko na. Hayaan mo, the next one will be on me". I'm basically speaking with my mouth full of food.

He chuckled. "No worries". He looked at me  at tuluyang natawa. "I did not expect you are a messy eater. You have something on your face"

Kinapa ko naman ang mukha ko. "Saang banda?" I asked.

"Just right below your lips" he answered.

Kumuha ako ng tissue at pinunasan ang bandang sinabi niya.

"Wait hindi mo natanggal" Keith said. Dumukwang siya at kinuha ang tissue na nasa kamay ko. He removed the grain of rice on my face. I'm flusteted right now because he is too close. Bumaba ang tingin niya sa labi ko.   Iniwas ko naman ang mukha ko. Magsasalita na sana ulit ako nang biglang magring ang phone ko. "Sagutin ko lang" I said with an apologetic look. He just smiled and signaled okay.

I got up at nagmadaling pumunta sa cr para sagutin ang tawag.

"Hello. This is Atty Tan speaking. How may I help you?" I asked to the person calling me. Pero walang nagsasalita sa kabilang linya.

I looked at the screen of my phone to check who's calling me but it's just an unregistered number. "Hello? Who is this?" tanong ko. Nang wala pa ring sumagot ay tuluyan na akong nainis. "If this is a prank, stop calling me. I don't have time for your bullshit" inis na saad ko.

"Who is that man you are with?" a baritone voice asked in the other line. Ang sexy naman ng boses ng taong to.
I heard this voice before. But I'm not sure who.

"Who is this?" I asked.

"Williams" the guy answered back.

Nagulat naman ako. Why is this man calling me? "Where did you get my number? And also, how did you know that I'm with a man right now? Are you stalking me?" I asked.

"I basically own the restaurant you are in lady. I got your number through Zamora" he answered.

I gritted my teeth. Lagot ka sa akin Zven pag nakita kita. Banned ang tukmol na un sa office ko ng 1 month."What do you want?"

"I want you to finish your meal with that man right now. I don't want to see you with him" he answered with an annoyed voice.

"What's your problem? And why will I follow your order? Ano naman ngayon kung may kasama akong kumakain? Get a life mister and stop bothering me!" I said. Naiinis na ako. Anong problema nito sa akin.

"Finish it now or else I will beat that man to death and drag you out of my restaurant. You don't know what I am capable of lady" saad niya ng puno ng awtoridad.

Kinilabutan naman ako sa sinabi niya. Is he insane? "Pwede ba humanap ka ng ibang pagtritripan mo? Stop bothering me!" I answered him and end the call.

Bumalik agad ako sa table namin. "Pasensya na" sabi ko kay Keith. Bwisit na Tatcher yon. Who is he for me to follow? 

"It's okay" Keith said. Pinagpatuloy namin ang pagkain. So ang hudas pala na iyon ang may-ari nitong restaurant? I'm impressed on the quality of the food they serve here. Masarap pero sobrang mahal naman. Hindi ako kakain dito kung hindi libre.

Busy ako sa pagnguya ng pagkain ko nang bigla kong napansin si Tatcher na papalapit sa amin.

I nearly spit out my food! Seryoso siya sa sinabi niya kanina? He looks so mad right now. When he reached our table, he suddenly grab my arm. "You're coming with me" he said angrily.

Keith interfered "Wait. I'm with her  sir"

Nagtiim ang bagang niya at tinignan  si Keith ng matalim. "You're out of this one" he said.

Mabilis kong kinuha ang bag at mga gamit ko. "I'm so sorry Keith. Thank you sa lunch but I really need to go. Hope you understand. I'll just contact you" I said with an apologetic tone.

Hindi na nakasagot si Keith because Tatcher dragged me out of this restaurant instantly. Ipinasok niya ako sa sasakyan niya. Deja vu?

"You're not going to contact that man. Never in my watch attorney" he said. Hindi pa rin niya ako binibitawan.

"Ano ba! Bitiwan mo na nga ako. Sumama na nga ako sayo, diba? And where the heck are  you taking me?" I asked. Kaya lang naman ako sumama dito dahil baka ano pang magawa niya kay Keith. Nakakahiya doon sa tao. Where is this car even heading to?

"I'm taking you to my house and lock you there para hindi ka na makatakas sa akin at hindi ka malapitan ng kung sino sino" he answered while looking directly at my eyes.

Lumaki ang mga mata ko sa gulat. "You're insane! You're literally kidnapping me!"

Nagpumiglas ako sa hawak niya pero tila ayaw niya akong bitawan at ang malala pa ay bigla niya akong niyakap!

I literally freezed. Hindi ko magawang gumalaw. My heart is pounding like crazy. My heart is betraying me right now. Why does this man smell so good?

I suddenly can feel his breath on my ears. "Stop resisting attorney. You don't like it when I'm mad. Ayaw ko sa lahat ay nakikita kang may kasamang iba. You're mine. Mine alone" he whispered to me then put a kiss on my neck.
