Forgetting

The sirens wailed as once again I found myself in the back of a police car, only this time the handcuffs were on and the car was a cage, not a shield. The car drove down the empty cracked road hitting the occasional pothole here and there. Suddenly in the distance a fortress appeared, barbed wire lined its fences, and the guard towers lights scanned the premises inside the walls. A chill rushed down my body, the bone-chilling kind. I had messed up the one was I wasn't supposed to and I lost my shot at freedom.

The end...Ya, no good story ever ends with the words "the end" but I wished my story ended in prison. Instead, my breaks of luck would allow me one last shot at claiming my justice. Only it won't happen for a while so keep up with the prison section of this story it doesn't lack any of the components of the main story; murder, blood, deceit, lying, death. They're all here hiding in the bushes...You won't see them till it's too late.

Damnit I went ahead of myself again, it would probably be helpful to understand how I ended up in prison even though you may already have your guess. Contrary to what you may believe I wasn't mad I was headed to prison, I actually deserved it. We will start the story in this part a week before I go to prison. Im taking you back to the mental hospital...one...last...time.

One Week before the transfer

What the hell am I going to do, I know I didn't do this but all fingers point to me.

"So Chris do you have anything to say to yourself?" Dr. Green asked sternly

"I-I-Im sorry Dr. Green I lied to you in the hallway I was in Skippy's room playing cards all night, I hadn't even been to my room since before dinner I promise...Ask Skippy, Please." I pleaded

"You know what happens to the person who did this right, the consequence will fit the crime" Dr. Green replied

"Off to the gallows," I said gravely

"Precisely" He responded

He picked up the phone and dialed a number, it rang for a few seconds and then he began.

"Locate Skippy and send him to my office, it's urgent but assure him he's in no trouble."

I faint voice responded to him but I couldn't make the words out clearly. I realized how sweaty my hands had gotten and I wiped them on my pants.

"nervous?" Dr. Green asked suspiciously

"Of course I am!" I blurted out "Im being accused of a murder I didn't commit again, anyone would be nervous"

he nodded his head and looked at me weird "Super convenient that the killer is always in the right place at the right time, if your blaming it on him, propose to me how he got in here."

"Isn't that your fucking job" I responded spitefully

"You sir, better watch..." Dr. Green started

Knocks on the door broke his train of thought and he got up to answer it. The door swung open and Skippy stood in the doorway. His hands straight down at his sides like he dint know what to do with them. Skippy entered the room and sat down in the chair next to me. Sweat dripped down the side of his face and he was very fidgety.

"Am I in trouble?!" He yelled "Sorry," he said in a quiet voice right after.

"No skip, I assure you that you are in no trouble at all," Dr. Green said sitting down in this chair.

"Were you and Chris together tonight, specifically after dinner till now?" Dr. Green asked

I nodded and felt a sense of accomplishment, I finally had a tight alibi for one of these situations. Skippy looked at me with a grave face and studied my face for a second, he then turned back to Dr. Green. Skippy sat there thinking, I could see the gears twisting in his mind...but why?
