'Clay?' My dad added. He walked closer to me.

Drista looked at me and smiled. 'CLAY WAS KISSING SOMEONE, CLAY WAS KISSING-.'

'Drista, not now.' My mum sounded stressed.

I did know they weren't too happy with the LGBTQ+ but I didn't know if they were homophobic or not.

George quickly rolled away and sat up, clearing his throat awkwardly.

'Why were you kissing with a boy?'

'I'm sorry, I uh-.'

My dad grabbed my arm and squeezed it tightly. It hurt. He lifted me up and stood in front of me.

'I'm sorry,' I said again. 'I really like him, I-.'

'Are you gay, Clay?'

'Y-yes.'

'At least you're honest.'

'I'm sorry, I didn't know you were already coming home. Don't hurt me, please.'

My dad let go of me and looked at me. 'This is just a shock for us, Clay.'

'I understand, but don't hurt him or me, please.'

'We won't hurt you both, we aren't abusive, you know that, Clay.'

'Yes, but you just hurt my arm.'

'I'm sorry, I was in a shock. Since when do you know this, Clay?'

'Since a few weeks, because I fell in love.'

'We have to get used to this first, Clay. Why is he even here?'

'They came to visit me.'

'They?'

'Sapnap is sleeping in the guest room.'

'Can you go upstairs for a minute. I have to think.'

George and I walked upstairs and sat down in my room. We luckily had a guest room, so Sapnap and George could sleep there now everyone was home again. Even though I wished to have George with me.

'I'm sorry, Dream.'

'It's fine, they are just shocked. They will accept us, I think.'

I crawled under the sheets and curled up in a ball shape. George wrapped his arms around my middle and kissed my cheek. I turned around and looked at him, kissing him shortly on the lips.

'Are you okay?'

'I-.' I started crying softly. George hugged me tightly against his body. 'Can I make it better?'

'George?'

He nodded.

'Do you want to be boyfriends?'

'But your parents?'

'I don't care, I like you. I want you to be my boyfriend. Will you?'

'Of course I will be your boyfriend. I like you so much too.'

I kissed his cheek and we hugged each other tightly. I startled when the door slowly opened. I looked up and let go of George. It was Drista.

'Clay!' she said and jumped on my bed. She hugged me and looked at me. 'Are you okay?'

I nodded. 'I am, I'm just a little sad, okay. Why aren't you sleeping? It's way past your bedtime.'

'It's only 10 pm!'

'Too late for you.'

'Clay, I love you still. I don't know what gay means, but I like him,' she pointed at George.

Drista had just gotten eight years old. She was very sweet and always accepting.

'Gay means that you like the same gender, Drista. In my case, I can only like boys even though most other boys like girls.'

'Why is that wrong?'

'It isn't, but mum and dad just startled a little, okay? They aren't mad at me.'

'But they hurt you.'

'They did, but it wasn't too bad.'

'Clay, you are thin.'

'Why are you saying that?'

'You have been eating weirdly.'

'Why do you notice those things, Drista?'

'Because I care about you. I don't want you to be sad. Why are you thin? I feel like you are not okay.'

'Can you keep a secret, Drista?'

She nodded heavily.

'I have an eating disorder, Drista. I see myself a little fat and I'm a little scared to eat much.'

'You eat less than me.'

'That's the eating disorder.'

'Will you eat more for me, Clay. You are too skinny.'

'I'm trying, Drista. But it's difficult.'

'I understand.'

'Will you keep me being gay and having an eating disorder a secret for a little, Drista?'

'Can I tell my friends about your boyfriend?'

'Will you keep that a secret too?'

She nodded heavily. 'I will.' She hugged me and smiled at George.

'You are George right?'

'I am,' he smiled.

'Clay talked about you a lot.'

George blushed a little.

'Are you also gay or something? What is the opposite of gay?'

'Straight,' I said smiling.

'I'm gay too,' George said. 'I only like boys.'

'I love you both.'

'Thanks, Drista. I love you too,' I said. 'Go to bed now.'

She listened to me and went to bed.

I cuddled up with George. 'I love you too,' I said grinning.

'I love you, Dream.'
