Waking up early (f/n) had to remind herself why she had agreed to go and record the practice match. Recalling that it was for Yuu along with wanting to support Koushi who wasn't playing while there was a tiny, microscopic part of her wanting to enjoy watching an actual game.
Getting ready to leave the teen made sure to double check everything including the video camera with an extra battery and memory card. Checking the time on the wall (f/n)'s eyes bugging out realizing she was running late. Grabbing her toast and calling goodbye before darting out the door. Checking the time again deciding to pick up the pace to the point where she was almost running, thankfully wearing bike shorts under her skirt.
Quickly approaching the school (f/n) slowed down enough to regulate her breathing making it appear like she hadn't run most of the way. Running a hand through her short hair realizing everyone was gathered round the side of the bus waiting for her. No one noticed her approaching until a short orange haired boy call out.
"There's a girl coming over here," frantically waving his arms and pointing to (f/n)
His statement caused the group to turn and see what the energetic boy was talking about. All eyes landing on the short haired female making her face turn red and stumble from the attention. Rubbing the back of her head, "sorry I'm a bit late."
Koushi came to her rescue with a reassuring smile, taking her hand and leading her to everyone. "Everyone is Nishinoya (f/n), she's coming today to record the match," making it clear to everyone who she was.
Giving the team a small wave, already knowing the seconds year thanks to Yuu while giving the first years a warm smile. "just call me (f/n) or it will be confusing when my brother comes back," they all nodded not really understanding who she was related too.
Getting on the bus and taking a seat next to Kiyoko so Koushi and Daichi could talk about the game plan for today. The girls were quietly talk when Hinata popped his head between the seats and asked, "so if your recording the match does that mean you like volleyball?"
Turning to look at the boy and his seat mate, Kageyama, who was also interested in her answer. Knowing better than to give the whole truth, "I used to like volleyball but I'm not that interested in it anymore. I'm just recording the match as a favor."
The troubled look on Hinata's face made her uneasy but he didn't give her a chance. "How could you not love volleyball!" his sudden increase in volume had people looking towards them.
Kageyama quickly shut him down before he could keep going, "shut up! not everyone has to love volleyball!"
Shooting a quick look to Kiyoko, silently asking if this is what she has to deal on a regular basis only for her to reply with a small smile and a nod.
Koushi piped up as always coming to the rescue, "Hinata, (f/n) really isn't into volleyball, she prefers to work with her hands and make things."
Giving her boyfriend an affectionate gaze, he understood why she had turned away from volleyball and moved into the hands on field of sculpting and photography. He had been there for her during that whole ordeal.
Hinata looked extremely confused as his brain tried to comprehend that statement like a hard math problem. Kageyama eyed the female curiously, "so how are you involved with the boys volleyball team then?"
Beaming at the angry blueberry, "there are important people in my life who love volleyball so if that means recording a game or two its not a problem." Her eyes made their way to stare at Koushi, "I will always go out of my way for the people i truly care about."
Kageyama noticed them staring at each other and in the most nonchalant way asked, "so are you and Sugawara dating or something?"
Chuckling at the question and nodding, "we have been together for nearly three years. We have known each other since we were little," smiling at memories of their past.
