Rising up, Izuku blinks blearily as light cascades through his window, his eyes drinking the cool start of the day. Dew could still be seen sat ever so still on the blades of grass on the lawn outside of the dorms, hidden mostly by the low fog. A chill seeps into Izuku's skin as he pulls off his quilt, shivering at the unexpected temperature change, and sluggishly moves over to his closet to get changed for the day.
Stretching, Izuku listens to the satisfying crack of his bones and feels his muscles wake up, releasing a content sigh as he does so. A yawn breathes from his lips, and he gives his neck a scratch as he changes his clothes; a long sleeved shirt with 'shirt' written in kanji, the pinnacle of comedy Izuku thinks, and jeans along with his red shoes. Nodding to himself, Izuku looks over to a sleeping Shouto and leans to the boy and kisses his forehead lightly.
He knew that the boy had been having nightmares recently; the letter about his father triggered him beyond his control. Some wounds don't heal overnight...
Smiling to himself, Izuku moves to the kitchen, prepping breakfast for everyone. Simple and effective pancakes will do!
Whilst making the 23rd pancake, Izuku's quirk flares, his eyes glow with an ethereal bloom as his hands light up; his net had detected someone near it, he'd felt it before too, just before the teachers meeting, but he'd shaken it off. If there was someone there, Nezu would have an answer so he doesn't have much of a worry. Now, however, there were two people there; two sets of vibrations, one slightly bigger than the other.
Suddenly, he let out a burst of energy, letting it travel over the dorms, finding everyone in their separate dorm rooms apart from one, which was silent and empty, aside from his own. He just couldn't tell who's it was...
Disappointment and righteous fury flooded Izuku's body. How could they betray the class like this? They had gotten the class harmed and traumatized for what? Cracking his knuckles, Izuku lets a tiny vindictive laugh out, knowing that Shouta and Nezu are going to enjoy making the bug squeal. Maybe he could have some justice too for the Training Camp which they had sold out...
Shaking that rather villainous thought from his mind, Izuku gets back to making pancakes, feeling bittersweet about it; they'd caught the Traitor, or perhaps Traitors, but at what cost?
A pair of hands wrap around Izuku waist and a head plops against his back, a tired groan coming from the person behind him. Chuckling, Izuku says softly;
"Sorry Sho. Did I wake you up?" He got no response other than a shake of the head on his back.
Domestic.
Home.
Safe.
That's the aura that was felt as people walked into the kitchen to investigate the heavenly smell that emanated from the room, only to see both boys swaying to a silent beat, Todoroki held tightly onto Izuku's waist as the green haired boy made pancakes; a quiet humming coming from the bigger boy could be heard in the silence.
