One would think that waking up after a coma would be slow, sluggish with fluttering eyes and that satisfying cracking of bones moving after disuse. But, that's never the case for one Izuku Midoriya.
It was surprising, so unexpected. 2 months in a coma along with zero signs of waking up any time soon, and he just shoots up like a zombie rising from the dead. It caused the hospital staff to kick into gear, bustling about to get everything ready, a check-up and physiotherapy; one can't sustain muscle mass without using their muscles for 2 months after all...
Nurses and assistants all scuttled about nervously, their hands wringing and eyes darting around the place, waiting for someone to come through the door. Well, it was more like a group of people, Toshinori, Shouta, Shouto, Hizashi along with a small collection of 1-A, Katsuki included, he tagged along with Kirishima.
The newcomers were forced to sit impatiently in the waiting room, tensions ran high, they hadn't seen Izuku awake for so long. Shouta was pacing, Shouto was crouched on the seat, and Hizashi was hurriedly humming a song, his eyes darting from his husband to the clock over and over. That tension snapped when the doctor stepped past the fresh hold of the waiting room door, and bombarded by questions, and the poor doctor was overwhelmed. It wasn't until Toshinori stepped up and calmed the room down, and asked;
"How is he?" The doctor cleared their throat and answered;
"Physically, he's okay. With a bit of physiotherapy and such he'll be able to be discharged soon. Mentally, we cannot say for certain. Traumatic events such as the one he went through can affect people in uncertain ways." Surprisingly, Katsuki stepped forward telling the doctor;
"Izuku's strong. I know he'll be alright." Clearing their throat, the doctor goes on,
"Other than that, I believe that he can have visitors, 4 at most for now, and keep calm; this is a Hospital after all." The doctor pointedly glaring at Shouta and Hizashi. Hizashi smiled apologetically,
"Sorry 'bout that Doc!" Everyone raised their eyebrows, thinking,
'What did they do?'
With that, the doctor left, but not without a final warning glare at the husbands; (They had been making out in one of the hallways, going a tad bit too far... But no one needs to know what almost happened!) After that, Shouta, Hizashi, and Shouto get up first, wanting to see Izuku awake for the first time in months. They push open the door, revealing Izuku smiling brightly at them. A raspy voice comes from the formerly sleeping boy,
"Hey. How've you been doing?" All three tear up, Shouto asking;
"You've been in a come for 2 months, and the first thing you ask is how we've been doing. Never change, Izu." Shouta sits beside the bed,
