Our Secret Dream

The Hike

I've just pulled up to the Dream LA house in Tylers car. I rest my head against the wheel calming my nerves and trying to put my thoughts together. I lean over and grab the bag of in and out that I picked up for Chris and Tyler, not to mention their favourite shakes. I lock the car and head into the house. I can hear the boys laughing from the kitchen so I walk in that direction. I enter and see Chris and Tyler recording a dance for TikTok.

Skylar: Your doing the dance wrong you realise that?

Tyler: Like you'd know how to do it.

Skylar: Actually I do, I posted that TikTok yesterday and it's had 10.4million views and 5 million likes. Here watch if you don't believe me.

I bring up the TikTok on my phone handing it over to Tyler, he watches it and then looks to me then back at Chris.

Tyler: She's right Chris. We are totally doing it wrong.

I laugh and then hand the bag of food and drinks over to Chris, he smiles and takes them.

Chris: Thanks cookie, you are the best. Did you have a good time at Sway?

Skylar: It was nice to just relax and get some sunshine. Bryce helped me process some things too. Oh, here's your keys Ty. I left you a gift in your cup holder, its a scented candle, I know you love them.

Tyler: Thanks Sky, that's so kind of you. I will be right back. Chris don't touch my food or my shake.

Tyler runs out of the kitchen leaving us alone.

Chris: Are you and Bryan okay?

Skylar: We're fine. I just need to talk to him about a thing or to. Do you know where he is?

Chris: He's out by the pool.

Skylar: Thanks

I grab the shake I picked up for him and head outside. He's sat beside the pool on the bench. I walk over to him and his head lifts up and he notices me.

Skylar: Hey baby, I got you a shake.

Bryan: Thanks. You didn't have too though baby. I missed you today.

Skylar: I missed you too.

I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him to me, I press a brief kiss to his lips.

Skylar: Did you want to talk here or go on that hike?

Bryan: A hike sound good. Let's go change our shoes into boots and I'm going to grab a hoodie.

Bryan stands and offers me his hand, I take it and we lace our fingers together. I bring our hands up and twist them so I can place a kiss on his hand. We walk inside past Chris and Tyler and upstairs into his bedroom. He grabs a hoodie and we both change into our boots.

Skylar: Can I wear your orange hoodie please? It's more snuggly than this one.

Bryan: Sure baby. Here.

He tosses me the hoodie and I get changed into it. We both then head down stairs and out of the house.  We walk down the path out towards the trail that leads up the mountain. We joke and mess around on the walk up. I jump on Bryan's back half way up and he gives me a piggy back ride to the half way point. We sit down on the bench that looks out across LA.  It really is magnificent not to mention inspiring. I take out my phone snapping a few pictures of the view and of us.

Bryan: Are you ready to talk?

Skylar: Yeah. You remember when I went to speak with Mel earlier?

Bryan: Yeah?

Skylar: Well she offered me a position with Dream LA.

Bryan: That's great news, right?

Skylar: Um..

I look down at my hands in my lap, not sure how much detail I should tell him. Do I tell him about my house, my fears about signing with another management team. Not to mention Dream LA is a content creator house so it's completely new to me. Bryan reaches over and covers my hands with his. I look up and across to him. His eyes showing nothing but affection.

Skylar: I'm not sure if I am ready to re-sign with someone, let alone a content house.

Bryan: Why kitten? You could bring so much to Dream and with Mel taking over she will help ensure that nothing bad happens and that you'll only be doing things that your okay with.

Skylar: I had a lot of freedom back in the UK before things went bad and the content I do isn't exactly the same as you guys...

Bryan: That's why you'd be perfect. You don't have to sign a standard contract with Dream LA, negotiate with Mel and have things added to the contract to allow your freedom.

Skylar: It's not just signing with Dream. You know I mentioned finding my own place?

Bryan: Yeah...

Skylar: I've found a place and Mel helped me buy it.

Bryan: Oh.

Bryan looks away from me and out towards down town LA, I know he's sad. I lean in close to him, resting my head on his shoulder before continuing.

Skylar: It's only 5 minutes away baby, I am literally going to be in the house down the road from Dream LA.

Bryan: I guess, I'm going to miss not going to sleep and waking up next to you everyday.

I bring up one of my hands cupping his cheek, pulling his head so it's facing me. Our eyes lock.

Skylar: I never said anything about leaving you behind baby.

Bryan: What do you mean?

Skylar: Regardless of me signing with Dream LA. Mel has said I can keep my room in the house. I can still stop over with you and you can 100% sleep at mine. We wont have to be quite in my place. Just think of all the new places we can have fun.

Bryan: Promises. Promises. I'm still going to miss you.

Skylar: I am going to miss you too baby.

I lean in and kiss his soft lips, nibbling on his lower lip before pulling away.

Bryan: And Dream La?

Skylar: I'm going to sleep on it and tell Mel tomorrow. Maybe I can sign on a 1 year contract and see how things go.

Bryan: Sounds like a good idea though once you join I don't think you'll want to leave not with Mel being in charge.

We both remain silent, snuggled together under the early evening sky. The Sun has started to set and finally I feel at peace with everything thats going to change. We get back to the house and set up our spot lights ready to go live tonight. We still have just over an hour before we go live so we both head up stairs, shower and get changed.
