Breaking The News To Bryan...

It's been decided that we are going to go on a girls trip to Bora Bora - Addison has sent me all the details around when we are departing and when we are coming back. I have a week to plan, get myself ready and tell Bryan that I'm going to be away for 10 days - I'm not looking forward to that conversation. How long do you think I can get away with not telling him?

We have rented a private villa right on the beach, it's very secluded so we will have the upmost privacy. Amelie has hired us some security for the airport both sides and I have hired a larger security team to stay close to our villa on the island. Although we won't privacy I think we need a security team to ensure that. It's going to be my first girls trip away and I'm supper exited. Spending 10 days in pure sunshine with my girls - Quinnie, Addi, Amelie, Charly, Dixie, Nessa!

I'm currently sat at the dinning room table on my laptop looking through all the pictures Addi has sent of the villa, the beach not to mention a few trips she has booked for us. I take a sip of my hot coffee and ponder over how much fun this trip is going to be. I'm pulled away from my daydream when I hear footsteps coming down the hall getting close and closer to the kitchen. Just as Bryan enters the room I close my laptop screen and smile over to him. He raises an eyebrow in confusion looking from my now closed laptop to me. He pours himself a cup of coffee and joins me at the table.

Bryan: Working on anything fun?

Skylar: Sorta, do you have time to talk? I know your spending the day with Dom...

Bryan: What is it baby?

Skylar: Well, Quinn & I have agreed to go on a girls Trip with Nessa, Charly, Amelie, Addi & Dixie

Bryan: That sounds like fun, why are you nervous...

Skylar: We're going to Bora Bora for 10 days

Bryan's smile drops, my nervousness now making sense.

Bryan: oh, that's going to be a long time. I'm going to miss you.

Skylar: I'm going to miss you more Bry.

Bryan: When are you girls going?

Skylar: Friday...

Bryan: As in Friday a week from now?

Skylar: Yeah, Addi literally just sent me all the details that what I was looking at on my laptop.

Bryan's face turns broody and serious while he's deep in though, say something B. What are you thinking in the handsome head of your.

Bryan: well as much as I wish I was going with you I want you to have a great time but I have one request.

Skylar: Anything

Bryan: You FaceTime me every morning or every night. Regardless of the time.

Skylar: I promise baby. I love you.

Bryan: I love you too. Now, show me this place your staying in.

I spend the next ten minutes showing Bryan all the photos I'd been sent. He was super excited for me which made me feel so much better about going. We hear a knock on the door and I already know its going to be Dom and Quinn Bryan gets up from the table with the intention of answering the door - I reach out and grab his wrist topping him 'Dom's probably going to be grumpy seeing as Quinn is coming with us. So keep that in mind.' He smiles leaning down brushing his lips against mine. 'I'll just leave with him now and try to get him to see the benefits of you girls going away.' I laugh and say 'Maybe you should arrange a boys trip - go away for 10 days with the boys and then Quinn and I could fly out and join you guys for a few days? Maybe Spend out 1 year anniversary in Hawaii along with Dom & Quinn for their 3 months.'

Bryan: Your a genius baby - I speak with the boys today. Have fun shopping and spending time with Quinn. I love you.

Skylar: I love you too baby.

Bryan leaves the room and opens the front door letting Quinn come inside and Bryan leavs with Dom.

A couple of minutes later Quinn comes barrelling into the Kitchen two cups of Starbucks in in hands. She sits down in the seat Bryan was just in and hands me a cup 'Caramel Swirl Latte with Cold Foam' she giggles when I look questionably at the cups contents.

Quinn: Are you ready to go shopping? I need to buy some new swim suits and dresses for Bora Bora.

Skylar: One sec, I just need to send my latest finished singles to Momma Mel for review. How did Dom take the news?

Quinn: Ugh - not good. He wanted to come with and then got annoyed with me when I said it was a girls only trip. How did Bryan take it?

Skylar: He was surprisingly okay - I mean he's said we are going to be apart for 10 days but he only wanted one thing from me..

Quinn: And that was?

Skylar: That I facetime him at least once a day (I smile goofily at Quinn)

Quinn: Why couldn't Dom do something as romantic as that!! she screams in frustration.

Skylar: I have a feeling everything is going to fine by the time our boys return. Dom's only acting like this because your still early in your relationship, he's probably worried about you being apart for that long. Did you say you'd be in touch with him all the time?

Quinn: No, I thought that was obvious?

Skylar: He's a guy Quinnie - you have to tell him. Also, I may have gave Bry the idea that the boys should go to Hawaii while we are in Bora Bora - I was thinking we could fly from Bora Bora to Hawaii and join up with them for our anniversaries? 

Quinn: Oh My God - that's genius plus what a way for you to celebrate your 1 year and Dom and I's 3 months!

Skylar: Right - now lets hit the mall and spend a crap ton of money!!

**A few days later**

It's the night before we fly out to Bora Bora and I am currently sitting on the floor in my walk in closet trying to figure out what I actually won't to pack - Bryan is in his closet doing the same - well packing I mean. All the boys are flying out around the same time as us tomorrow but to Hawaii - Quinn and I have decided to cut our girls trip in Bora Bora from 10 days to 7 as we want to have some time with the boys also if we want to have time to celebrate our anniversaries then we need to leave early. All the girls understood and they actually decided to fly their boyfriends out to join them for the last 3 days of the trip seeing as we are leaving earlier.

Ten minutes later and I am still despairing on the floor when Bryan walks in leaning against the door frame. I have my head in my hands rubbing my temple. 'how's it going baby?' he asks concern in his voice, I don't even try to respond in words I just groan in frustration. I can hear him chuckle behind me which draws my attention - my head shooting up and I look in his direction both pouting and scowling. He steps into the room and kisses my forehead before looking at my clothes. He pulls a few dresses, crop tops, shorts, skirts & bikini's from the racks/draws and then turns to me smiling 'Come, I'll put these down on the bed for you to look at but I think you look incredible in all of them - plus I know you brought these bikini's for the trip.' I get up of the floor smiling, I let Bryan walk out first and I follow behind him - I give the options he picked the once over and agree that they are everything I could want for the trip. He helps me pack and takes our cases down stairs beside the front door ready for the morning.

The plan for the rest of the day is to just spend time together and agree what we can and cannot do while we are on our trips. We both know they are going to go crazy but we trust one another and we know that we don't need to worry about either of us doing something that could compromise our relationship but we wanted to make sure that we both agreed to keep in touch - the current plan is to text, facetime and send each others photos of our adventures.
