"Alex!" - Wendy's voice echoes through the hallway of the hospital. "Is he okay? Please tell me he's okay" - she says, stopping the nurse who's about to walk in the operation room.

"I can't tell you anything ma'am, the operation has just started" - she answers.

"I need to know if he's okay"

"Mum calm down, they don't know yet.." - Christian says as he wraps his arms around his mother.

The nurse walks off, and Wendy breaks down. She starts crying loudly and almost drops on the floor, but he catches her. He helps her walk to the closest chair, so she can sit down. She doesn't seem alright, even though she's trying her best to stay strong. She just can't.. She almost fainted when they informed her what happened. Luckily, Christian was there so he could do something on time. She insisted on going to the hospital immediately, no matter how much he tried to make her stay at home until she's feeling better. But she insisted that she'd feel better when she makes sure Alex is okay.

But no one is sure.. Nobody can tell what's going to happen. When the paramedics arrived with him in the hospital, they didn't have much hope that he'd be saved. They took him in the operation room immediately. They knew they needed to do something fast, otherwise he'd die. He's lost a lot of blood, he wasn't breathing properly, his pulse was unnoticeably slow.

"Please tell me he's gonna be okay.. I won't be able to handle this"

"Don't worry.. He's going to be okay.." - he reassures her.

"Who did this to him? He hasn't done anyone wrong.." - she says.

"The police is investigating mum.. They'll find whoever did it.."

"Are you okay, Miss?" - the police officer asks Perrie. "Do you want some water?"

She shakes her head and sighs slightly, trying not to tear up again.

"Okay, can you tell me what happened?"

"We.. we were sitting at the beach.." - Perrie says after a short pause. "He gave me his jacket because I was cold.."

She stops for a while, because she could tell that her voice was just about to break. She's still wearing his jacket, with her hands inside the sleeves. She liked the way it was a little too big for her, it made it comfier. Even though it has his blood on it now, she doesn't want to take it off. She likes the way it makes her feel like he's right next to her, even if he isn't.

She takes a deep breath before continuing.

"And then.. he became cold.. He said that he had a blanket in his car, so he got up.. and said he'll go get it.."

"Did you see or hear anyone? Anything suspicious?" - the officer asks, but she just shakes her head.

"I didn't.. That's why I didn't go with him.." - she says. "He had parked the car a bit further from where we were.. so I thought he'd just need more time to go there and come back.."

"How much time passed before you went to look for him?"

"Like.. ten minutes.. That's when I got worried.. So I.. I got up and started walking back to the car.." - she looks down at her lap. "I called out his name a few times.. but.. but he didn't answer.."

She's about to start crying, she can tell. She can't keep swallowing the lump in her throat, it hurts even more. She's glad that the officer is understanding. He's not pushing her to talk, he knows that she's going through a hard time, a potential loss of a loved one. However, he needs her to say what happened as she's the only one who was there with Alex and there are no witnesses.
