"Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy, and some are exciting.
But if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter holds."

________________________________The night was coming to an end and all Y/n could think about was Tom. She could still feel his soft lips on hers, his hands on her waist, the way it felt so right. She couldn't get over how Tom looked at her like she was treasure.
Her feelings were mixed. She felt guilty for kissing him and confused. She had James and that had to be enough but apparently it wasn't. In fact, she didn't know who she wanted. James understood her but her connection with Tom was indescribable. It was like they were destined for each other.
But she couldn't just sit around and wait for Mr Right. She couldn't just wait for her prince charming to come and save her. She had to do something. But the question is, what can she do?
As the room started emptying and the music became quieter by the minute, Y/n decided to leave. She walked over to James to inform him that she was leaving.
"Hey darling, I'm gonna leave now, okay?" Y/n said to James, interlocking her hand with his.
"Okay." he replied, planting a kiss on her forehead.
"Happy Christmas, James." Y/n greeted with a smile.
"Happy Christmas, Y/n." James replied. Y/n flashed him one last smile before leaving to her common room.
As soon as Y/n reached her common room, she tiredly walked up the stairs to her dorm. Once she made it to the empty dorm room, she lazily took of her shoes and lay on the bed, and before she could even get changed or take off her makeup, she was fast asleep. She dreamt of Tom and a life she could have with him if it weren't for her relationship with James. Of course, she felt guilty but Tom had managed to find a way to slip into her dreams.

Y/n woke up early the next morning in her dress. She rubbed her eyes and the mascara she was wearing the previous night stained her hand. Y/n sighed and got out of her dorm room to the rest room to wash her face and clean her makeup off.
Once she made it to the common room, she saw Matthew on the couch fast asleep with a bottle of alcohol in his hand. He hadn't changed and it appeared that most students hadn't either since Y/n's roommates were also in the same outfit as she last saw them in.
Y/n chuckled and went back to her common room to get a blanket for Matthew just like she did last time. Once she got the blanket, she carefully placed it on Matthew. Only then did she realise that his face was covered in sweat and he seemed to be twitching in his sleep. He had an unpleasant look on his face almost like he was having a nightmare. And that's when Y/n realised.
'Oh no.' she thought to herself as she took Matthew's hand and held it tight, hoping that it would help him. It clearly didn't as his twitching seemed to get worse and his breathing became heavier by the second. Y/n panicked, not knowing what to do. Then suddenly, Matthew's eyes shot open and he quickly sat up, his face covered in sweat as he tried to regain his breath. Y/n looked at him, wide-eyed. Rubbing his back in attempts of calming him down.
"Matt?" Y/n whispered, gaining his attention. His chocolate brown eyes were covered in terror, they were glistening slightly due to tears covering his eyes.
"Y/n!" he exclaimed, relieved that it was all just a dream. He pulled her into a tight embrace and the tears that were building up in his eyes poured down. He cried and cried until he felt like he couldn't breath anymore and Y/n tried her best to comfort him. She held him gently, rubbing his back while the tears rolled down his face. His sobs were heart-breaking, Y/n couldn't imagine crying this much because of a dream.
