Monachopsis
The feeling of being out of place- unable to recognise a place that is your intended home.
________________________________Y/n woke up the next morning feeling terrible. She had wondered how she ended up in her bed, after passing out in the bathrooms. Only to be informed that Clara had found her and asked Matthew to carry her up. Though, that was the least of her worries.
The throbbing pain in her head hardly even got better and she still smelled of Alcohol. She didn't even want to get up. All she wanted was to stay in bed. Her eyes could hardly keep themselves open. As her head was pounding, she went through the events of last night, recalling them. Her eyes shot open remembered what James did. Suddenly, the pain in her head went away as all she thought about was revenge. Y/n quickly got out of bed, going through her chest full of clothes, trying to find her uniform.
She decided that she wouldn't confront James about it in public because she was afraid the girls would do what they did to Lucius.
Soon, Y/n was in the bathroom getting changed when she felt something rise at the pit of her stomach. Then, Y/n ran to the toilet seat, throwing up again. When she finished, she leant up against the wall again, only to notice a stain on her collar.
"Oh, bugger." Y/n grumbled as she got up and flushed the toilet, going back to her dorm to receive a new white long sleeve shirt.
Once Y/n finished changing again, she brushed her teeth and cleaned her face like she would do on any other morning. Y/n got out of the toilet, going to the great hall to eat breakfast. Once she got there, she received a few odd stares from students, mostly death eaters.
Y/n realised that some students might've thought she had something going on with Tom. The death eaters probably were disgusted of her because of nearly leaking their secret.
Once Y/n got to the Ravenclaw table, a sudden action caught her attention. Jack swiftly moved over to the chair next to her, casually talking to Y/n.
"What was that stunt you pulled last night?" Jack asked, looking around for any teachers. Students from other houses were only allowed to sit at their table and their table only. So if he was caught, he might lose house points for Gryffindor.
"Oh, erm, it was nothing." Y/n replied, unable to meet eyes with Jack as she began pouring syrup onto her pancakes. Jack took a deep breath in, getting ready for what he was going to say next.
"Y/n, is he the one hurting you?" Jack asked, watching as Y/n stopped what she was doing, thinking of an answer. "When you were on the Veritaserum, you said something about him," Jack said, his full attention on Y/n.
"It was nothing, really," Y/n replied, throwing a strawberry into her mouth.
"Was that little argument with him nothing as well?" Jack inquired, watching as Y/n gulped nervously. But just when Y/n was about to open her mouth to respond, Dumbledore spoke.
"Mr. Turner, get back to your table," Dumbledore announced as he swallowed nervously, doubtful of his next words. "5 points from.....Gr- Gryffindor..." Dumbledore said, sad that he had to deduct points from his house.
Jack took one last glance at Y/n before going back to the Gryffindor table, his worry for her never wavering.
Y/n sighed of relief, chewing on the strawberry when James entered the room with the rest of the Marauders. Suddenly, all that relief Y/n was feeling turned to anger as James looked at her and smiled. Y/n broke eye-contact with him, jaw clenched. She sliced her pancake furiously, making a screeching sound which caused some people to cringe.
