(A/n: Again, sorry for the long wait. Writers block was a nightmare and I had no ideas, but now, this story is up and running again!)
(Amelia's POV:)
//a day later//
After what felt like a million years, I was finally able to eat. I hadn't had breakfast, which was a huge mistake on my part. Now, I was eating with my friends, scarfing down food while they calmly ate.
"I told you you should have eaten." Deimitri said.
I give him an annoyed look. "Well, we all don't live under the same roof anymore. I was already here and working when you told me."
Elie laughed, "Well at the very least slow down a bit. I don't want you to choke." She said.
All of a sudden, Hilda came walking up to us. "Ahem. Excuse me? May I speak with you all for a minute? In private?" She asked.
"Of course." Aaron said. We all got up and started walking to the war room.
"Looks like I can't get a break from all this war can I?" I whisper to Storm and Elie, to which they chuckled in response.
"It seems like it." Storm said.
Hilda opened the door to the war room, and sitting their was all of the counsel members. Including Hogsworth. Well, with the exception of my mom wasn't there. However, there was another parent that was now awake and sitting there!
"Dad!" Elie and Storm said happily, before running over to their dad, hugging him.
"Hey, you two doing well?" He asked. "Have you two been good to your mom?"
"We're okay dad." They said.
"Ahem. Sorry to break up the happy moment, but we have a bigger problem to deal with." Hero said.
"Right! Sorry. C'mon, let's go take our seats!" Elie said, dragging her brother to their seats.
The rest of us sat down in our assigned seats.
"So, let's get down to business." Hilda started. "We have gotten a raven from Dragonspire, the Netherbane base, and the village of Phoenix. The seem to have sent us letters of distress." She said.
"Couldn't you have just gave their letters to their respected village leaders, instead of calling a meeting?" Aaron asked politely.
Hilda handed the letters to me. "They're addressed to their leaders and the Frostbourne council?"
Everyone looks at each other confused.
"Well, go on, open them." Gavin said.
As I did. All the letters were easy to identify which kingdom they belonged too, due to the color. Dragonspire normally sent in either a purple or indigo envelope/paper with silver writing. The village of Phoenix sends letters in orange envelopes/paper, and normally have black writing. While The Netherbane normally uses a dark green paper/envelopes, and write in gold. All envelopes were stamped with a red wax seal, signifying letters of business.
I open the End's letter to us and read it aloud,
"Dear my Queen, King, and the Frostbourne council,
Over the past few months, none of your trade carts, nor merchants have arrived in our dimension, and now recently have found out that the Netherbane, nor Phoenix have received anything from you in that same period of time. Wether it be trade ships, carts, anything, it hasn't been arriving. We all started to worry if you were all okay, due to the fact war could be on the horizon. Please respond as soon as you can.
From,
the advisor of the Enderwatcher council.
Ulrich
P.s.
The other villages might be sending you letters too.
"What?" Daryll shouted confused. "We were so worried about possible war, that we didn't notice our merchants haven't been making it there!"
Nervously, I passed the letter to the End Queen and King. Hastily, Aaron and Deimitri opened the other two letters while they read over the letter from their kingdom.
"It's the same message all around." Aaron said with worry.
"This has to be 303's work. Bandits in the area would've attacked one, maybe two of your land craft, not all that came that path." Kane said.
"And they wouldn't have gone as far as to attack your water craft, just for some simple trading items." Ciara followed.
"It does seem that way-" Ceris said, before someone slammed open the door. A guard.
"Excuse me for my interruption General, but there is a letter addressed to you." The guard said.
They hand me the letter, apologizing one last time for interrupting the meeting, before leaving. The letter was in a black envelope with red writing, sealed with a blood red stamp. My hands shaking, I open the letter, and pull the piece of black paper. I began to read aloud,
"Dear General Amelia, the Frostbourne council, and allies,
I want the leaders from every village to come here and have a discussion with myself and my council. I need at least one leader from each village to come. You can bring as many guards as you please, however, none will be accepted into the meeting. If you refuse to come, I will keep attacking your trade boats/carriages until you do. You have a week to decide and come here to discuss.
Signed,
The corruptor, Entity 303.
As soon as I finish, I sigh. "So.... anyone else get the idea he is going to try to do something?"
"I do...." Ceris said.
"Yeah, same here." Deimitri said quietly.
"I fell like we all do." Stella started. "But, I'm not sure we have much of a choice."
"My thoughts as well." Hogsworth said.
"However, he would know better to then to attack us whiles there. After all, most of us that would be there are trained warriors." Rain said.
"Exactly. His men and ours would all fall alongside each other." Hilda said.
"It would be better for all of our people if we just go and here him out. Maybe he will try and make peace-" Aaron was saying before Herobrione laughed.
"I know that guy.... he wouldn't try to make peace even if it killed him. He is up to something. I can feel it." He was saying before Kralos elbowed him in the arm.
"What Herobrione is trying to say is, are we sure this is our only option." Kralos said.
Hilda shook her head. "Unfortunately, it seems there is none. Our best bet it is to go hear him out. We should head out as soon as possible. So decided who needs to go and stay, and pack your bags. We leave tomorrow." She said.
And that concluded the meeting. I left the war room and walked up to my little brother who was with his boyfriend, chatting.
"Hey, Aaron? Have you seen mom? Is she in her workshop again?" I ask. He looked to me and shook his head.
"Nope. Mom said she wasn't feeling well so she might be back at home, resting." He said.
"Oh, okay! Thank you, I wanted to go check on her." I said, turning around to leave.
I walked all the way home. I have to say, when we got home after being away for so long, I have to say, I missed having my own room. And my own bed.
Anyways, I walked upstairs, to my parents room, —which was across from mine and my brother's rooms— and opened the door.
"Hey mom, Aaron said you weren't feeli-" I froze as for what I saw caught me off guard.
