**Prologue
This Earth is different than the one you are used to; this earth has rangers, but only one team. The Rail Heroes down in Texas, this is the story of a different team in a different part of Earth

Lacey Reed, who was married and had two daughters, led the protection of the city.
Here they are known as the Violet Ravens.

But what they don't know is the evil to come.

**Lacey POV
I was walking toward my meeting, when I heard a voice calling me from down the hall, but it wasn't my name they were really calling

"Mom, mom!" I heard, and turned around.

One of my daughters, Lark, came up to me and grabbed my arm for my attention. "Yes, Lark?" I asked, stopping my pace.

"Something's wrong. Come on!" She cried, pulling me with her.

I had no idea what Lark meant, but it sounded urgent and I truly didn't have a choice in not following her as her grip was too tight.

She led me to where I was going anyway.

Where I was going was towards the meeting with my top Ravens in my company, which was made up of only a few people.

"What's so urgent you had to send Lark to come and get me, even if you knew I..." I demanded, walking into the room.

"Lacey! Something's happened. George Flowers..his daughter..." Carrie Rodriguez, one of my top operatives said, cutting me off.

Lark looked at her and ordered, "Carrie, stop. Take a breath and speak."

She took a deep breath, running a hand through her short, brown hair. "I saw it, and..rushed here. But...Nora was there too." Carrie told me.

"Nora? What about Nora? What's going on?" I demanded.

Carrie replied, "I--it happened so fast! Lacey, I don't know what happened, but it wasn't good and I think it's not done."

I looked at Carrie, who looked extremely worried about what was going on in her head.

Lark looked at me and I looked at my daughter.

While Lark was only about 19, she had already proven herself more than able to keep up with my Violet Ravens, hence why she was with me than at college right now.

She would go to college later on.

"Mom...what do you think happened?" She asked me.

I sighed, "I don't know. But we should start at the beginning and ask Nora."

**Nora POV
*1 hour earlier*

It all started when we went up to the stop light. "Dad, please! We never do anything together anymore." I complained as my father drove me to school that morning.

I gotta get my own car.

Honestly, l didn't see it as much of a request as something that would end the world if he came home earlier.

What I asked him was to watch a movie, at home, with me that night.

However, my dad answered, "You know I can't, Nora. I have to work late tonight."

My dad was Lacey Reed-Watanabe's second in command of the Violet Ravens, the security firm that dominated the town of Raven's Hollow.

Lacey Reed was so awesome, a strong woman in a position of power.

That's what I wanted to be.

Someone that didn't need anyone, but decided to help everyone that needed it.
