chapter twenty three

I was waken by the sound of my phone ringing. I looked at it and it was my mother.

"Hello?", I said in a sleepy time.

"Evelin , mija. Sorry to wake you but your father and I have to leave. We got called into work and have to be there as soon as possible. Sorry mija. We really wanted to stay and help.", she said.

"It's ok mom. If you need to go, go. I'll be fine.", I said.

"Ok mija. Your father and I love you so much and can't wait for the baby to be born. You can do this Evelin.", she said. I chuckled.

"I hope I can mom. Have a safe trip mom.", I said. We said I love you and soon hung up.

"Who was that?", Mike asked and he turned and wrapped his arms around me.

"Mom. Her and dad got called for work and had to leave soon. Hope she gets there safety.", I said. Mike smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Weren't we planning to go to the beach today?", he said.

"Shit. We were. I still want to go though.", I said as I sat up. He followed.

"Call the gang. I'm sure they want to go too. Jaime has been telling me he has good surfing skills.", he said.

"Oh god Jaime.", I said. He laughed.

"What time is it?", I asked as turned to embrace him.

"It's 7. You wanna call them?", he said.

"Yeah. Just to make sure.", I said. Mike handed me his phone and I called Jaime.

"Hello?", he answered.

"Jamie. It's Evelin. You guys up?", I said.

"Actually yes we all are. We are just about finished cleaning up. We gotta take the trash to the dump. What's up?", he said.

"I want to go to the beach today. Do you guys wanna come?", I asked. Jamie screamed and dropped his phone I heard him yell out to the gang.

"Of course we want to go.", Jessica answered.

"Tell her yes. I'm gunna put on my bathing suit.", I heard Danielle say. I chuckled.

"That's a yes to the beach. Are you guys coming home?", Jaime said.

"Yeah we just need to change and make a stop by the store. You think you guys could be ready by the time I'm there?", I asked.

"I'm Jaime. That can be done.", he said.

"With Tony's help.", Tony yelled. Jaime chuckled.

"With Tony's help.", he said. I chuckled.

"Ok then. We'll see you in a bit.", I said and we hung up.

"So yes to the beach?", Mike asked as he came out of the bathroom.

"Yes to the beach. But I don't have beach clothes.", I said. He came up to me and kissed me.

"Then I guess we're going shopping.", he said in a gayish tone and flicked his wrist. I chuckled and got off the bed. I hugged him and my face went to his colored chest. Then the baby kicked.

"Oh geez. Even I felt that.", he said as he looked down at me. I chuckled and touched my tummy. He knelt down in front of it.

"Hi Bentley. It's daddy.", he said. I laughed and he kicked again.

"Future soccer player right there.", Mike said. I laughed. We quickly got dressed into something decent and went to the mall. I picked out a blue with white polka dots two piece cause one pieces were going no where with me. After signing a few autographs, we headed home to the gang.
