Dedicated to my Wattpad mummy Jenivalwrites
~Chloe ~"What would be the outcome, if Hydrogen and chlorine was mixed together?" Mr Olayika our chemistry teacher asked.
I sighed not even paying a single attention to what he had to say. I had enough reasons why, but most importantly was the fact that I was grounded. It was pathetic to be honest but there was nothing I could do about it.
Immediately we finished the merriment and celebration of the new year 2018, we had a family meeting the following week and as you might have guessed it, I was the subject of conversation. So yeah that's exactly how I got grounded for both what I did and I didn't do. No phones,No WiFi, no way out... perfect! don't you think, not like I needed it any way.
As if my life wasn't pathetic enough, Matilda and Zoe are back to school in full force. Sigh, it's more terrifying than I'm letting on. I've been acting like Tarzan when he first came to the city, always startled by every little suspicious movement. Thanks to them I have eye bags under my eyes due to lack of sleep. What's more, Matilda wouldn't stop bragging about her Dad's new job at that new Broken Hearts galla. Everyone had an invitation to the opening ceremony except me.
What was I really thinking, that I would get an invitation? Yeah right, Matilda would rather kiss her humanity good bye than be in the same party room with me. I was opportuned to get a glimpse of the invitation and found out the party was on the 14th of February. The worst day of my life, like can someone just kill me already? Valentine's day of all days.
Well I guess I wouldn't, no I shouldn't be worried about that. We had our annual inter house sport on that day as well. So yeah, my hands were pretty full even though a part of me yearned to be at Matilda's party, another yearned to be somewhere else celebrating Valentine's day with my boo, haha that's if I even have one. My love life is so dead. It's beyond revival, I don't even bother to make the first move ever, it's always a futile effort.
"Hydrogen chloride, correct Daphne, right again. Moving on..."
That was all I heard before I zoned out again. Who knew being the sports prefect and leader for Emerald house would be so tasking. It's a whole lot of hard work considering Samuel Dawson wouldn't lift a finger leaving all the hard work to me. If I recalled correctly he would say...
"Oh Chloe, why would you want to stress your key to good luck charm in this inter house sport."
He was right, he was our best bet at carrying 1st place in all the inter house sport activities. He was practically a pro at all of them. I just needed to cover for him and make sure our match past was good enough to get us that first place. No, to get Emerald house the first place it deserves. We immediately started our match past rehearsals the minute school resumed and I was glad we were able to cover a lot of grounds in such a short period of time.
