To say i was scared was an understatement, i was absolutely petrified. It was one thing for you to receive a letter in Westley Academy, it's another thing for you to receive a letter as the Underdog especially if the sender is a popular influencer in the school, now it's another thing entirely for you to receive a blank letter.

This could mean anything and everything. It could make or mare my very last year as a student of Westley Academy. To be honest i was hoping it was the former but the odds of it be the the former were very slim. So it was settled i was doomed, doomed to the very core.

While i slowly but surely walked out of the kitchen heading for the dining room, I could see how Zoe frantically snatched the letter from Mom's hands looking at it and flipping it over hoping that by so doing some words will magical appear. This was going on for another 30 mins while i was in the dining room brooding, trying my hardest to think of a reasonable explanation for all this.

When i got nothing i went back to the kitchen to find Zoe already eating dinner on the kitchen counter. Not having the energy to talk i just ignored her and walked my way in the kitchen making my own dinner. Once i was done, i took my food back to the dinner table to enjoy the Egusi soup and semo which was prepared.

Few minutes later i took care of the dishes including the one Zoe used to eat. I'm glad she ate it in the kitchen and dropped the plate there, at least it was better than having to find it under my bed 2 weeks later. The fact that i still found the plate she used to eat 5days ago under my bed still irked me. The annoying part is the fact that she does it on purpose to irk me further, i shrugged the thought away.

"Chloe!!!"

"Maa, I'm coming"

I responded to mom's call. I quickly finished up the last of the dish before running up to her room to answer her call. On getting to her door, i knocked gently before letting myself in, scanning the room, i saw her sitting at the edge of the bed looking at the letter.

I sighed and cleared my throat to get her attention which worked thankfully. She looked up as me with a weary smile as if she were holding something back. After holding each others gaze for more than a minute, she finally looked away and patted the space beside her indicating i sit. I obeyed and sat beside her waiting patiently for her to speak up. After 30minutes of enduring the awkward silence she spoke up saying.

"I got a blank letter once and it changed my life forever...i hope it changes yours too"

She mumbled the last part staring at me and i just stare right back at her unable to say anything. She looked away from me second later and asked about Jayson. I didn't know what to say or how best to even answer the question because there was nothing between us, still i had to say something anything at all that would get me out of this situation.
