Just like every other week, it was Friday again and I was looking forward to the weekend. My elder brother was coming home and I was delighted beyond compare. My elder brother has been my sidekick ever since I was born, always having my back relentlessly especially when Mom, Dad and Zoe were giving me a hard time.
We were currently in class having tutorials, our NECO exams was around the corner so we
were preparing for it, as well as our mock tests, and there was no breathing space any more. That was also one of the reasons I was looking forward to the weekend. Time to chill and relax with my favourite homies Molly and Antonio, and I thought about hosting a slumber party for the weekend.
Maybe. Maybe not. I wouldn't want to jeopardize the time I get to spend with my brother. "Chloe what's the composition of Hydrogen? Chloe? Chloe!!"
"Huh, um... yeah, components? Of hydra?"
"See you weren't listening. Pay attention Chloe we don't have much time"We were currently having chemistry tutorials and our chemistry teacher was doing a wonderful job of going over everything we had done right from SS1. It was half past three already and even after successfully having lunch without Zoe hijacking it from me, I was still hungry, very hungry in fact and my stomach didn't fail to complain by growling loudly.
Jodee, my newest friend and sit partner chuckled at the sound my stomach made. Feeling slightly embarrassed, I hid my face in my palm feeling shy that she heard my stomach grumble while she thought it best to share her snacks with me. She nudged my side gently before pulling my hands away from my face. She smiled at me before revealing to me her secret stash of Maryland Cookie's. I grinned wildly taking two portions out of it.
"So, in other words we know when Carbon-4-oxide—"
I didn't bother listening any more, I was too hungry and fagged out to pay attention. Besides, the new order of the day was to fill my stomach with this Maryland Cookies before the end of tutorial. I munched on it happily, sulking myself in its chocolate goodness, I was so lost in my
own chocolate world that I had completely forgotten I was still in class. The sound of my name
being called by the teacher startled me back to reality.
"Chloe, for goodness sake what is wrong with you!?! My goodness, even Samuel... Can
someone wake Samuel Dawson up for me...?"
I had to stiff my laughter, here I was thinking I was the only one that had lost interest in
the class. Apparently, Samuel who didn't have chemistry as his strongest point was fast asleep two
