~Chloe~It's been two weeks since we officially resumed, two weeks since Zoe ditched me, two weeks since Zoe's been giving me the silent treatment, two weeks since I discovered that the letter was a riddle I was meant to solve, two freaking weeks all of this happened and to be honest, I was beyond exhausted of having to deal with it all.
It was break time this sunny Wednesday and all I wanted right now was to be in the comfort of my classroom, having lunch. But as usual, that was always far fetched. I was currently enduring the long excruciating pain of hunger while I listened to the address my twin sister was giving the new JSS 1 students.
She was currently standing in front of the podium with the head boy Joel Makinde Benson beside her. A projector was used to display and describe how the school rules and regulations work. The rest of us prefects had to be present while this was going on in the assembly hall. It was the principal's orders.
"If you notice for the ladies, there is no specified hair style, as long your as your hair isn't tinted and it doesn't go below your waist then it's acceptable. This is so because we realized that there are a few none Nigerian student who have naturally long hair so we are making room for them as well" She spoke with authority evident in her voice.
Show off...I know right. I responded to my subconscious. My sister and I had one goal when we first entered Wesley academy. To be the head girl of the school, but we both went on different paths. I dabbled into sports which by the way was my second passion after 3D animation drawings and drawing in general. While she stayed head strong in becoming the head girl. Her voice echoed through out the whole hall as she was the only one still talking at the moment.
"And if at all we have students with extremely long hair like Rapunzel -which I doubt. You are expected to cut it short to the appropriate and accepted length or you plate it and pack it into a pony tail or doughnut. Is that understood?" She asked with so much power and authority booming from her voice. She then went on to commenting on how the unform should look. And then the colour of our shoes which could be any shape or size as long as it's black and you can run in it. After much needed time explaining the rules, the head boy took the stage explaining the rules for the boys. This took hours of breaking the rules to the boys. By the time we were done, break time was over and the junior's were all running late for their next class, I was just thankful we had free period.
"This is such a drag and I haven't even had lunch" Zoe complained, she had dismissed the JSS1 students and was now walking beside me as we were heading towards the senior block. I glanced her way wondering if the silent treatment was over and she was actually talking to me. Of course I was wrong and to prove that she asked.
