What is and What should Never Be (2)
Dean's POV
The loud shrill of a woman's scream woke me with a start, I was ready to fight any monster that came in my direction. I was surprised when I found that I wasn't sprawled out on the metal floor I had dropped down onto when I hit my unconscious state, but instead a warm comfortable king sized bed.
I looked around finding myself alone, the other side of the bed had blankets tossed around as if someone was sleeping there.
I glanced down at my naked chest, deciding it was best to get dressed before exploring the unknown area.
I hopped out of the bed, finding Henley's and jeans in my size, and strange enough my style. The clothes were next to dresses and feminine clothes informing me that there was a woman living in this house.
I made my way through the dark home trying to determine where I was and how I was going to get out of here.
Finding my cellphone that was laying on a table in the living room, I dialed Sam who picked up tiredly.
"Dean?" He answered his voice laced with concern.
"Sam?" I ran a hand over my face as I looked around the place.
It was cozy and warm with inspirational quotes on the walls about family and faith. It was clearly decorated by a woman, one who was all about family life.
"What's going on?" Sam asked bringing me back to my current situation.
"I don't know." I breathed. "I don't know where I am."
"What? What happened?" You could hear the way Sam panicked.
"Well, the uh, the Djinn. It attacked me." I explained.
"The gin?" Sam snorted. "You're . . . drinking gin?"
I scoffed not finding the situation funny one bit. "No, asshat. The Djinn. The . . . scary creature. Remember? It put its hand on me and then I woke up in this nice house . . ."
Sam let out a laugh. "Dean where's Kylie?"
I scrunched up my face. "Kylie? She's in the hospital!" I tried to raise my voice without causing attention.
"Dean, you're drunk. You're drunk-dialing me." He let out with a smile in his voice.
"I am not drunk." I shook my head. "Quit screwing around!"
I didn't know what was wrong with him? Was this some kind of game he and Kylie were playing on me?
"Look, it's late." Sam sighed. "All right, just get some sleep and, um, I'll . . . see you tomorrow. Okay?"
I panicked as Sam hung up the phone.
"Wait, Sam! Sam!" I called before letting out a breath in frustration.
I shoved my phone in my pocket before looking around the room trying to find out exactly where I was.
On the long glass coffee table, clean enough to see my reflection in, there was a pile of envelopes.
Kylie Winchester
53 Barker Ave.
Lawrence, KS 66044
I blinked as I stared down at the enveloped not only was I shocked to see Kylie's name, but the fact that I was back in Lawrence was enough to freak me out.
"Lawrence?" I breathed as I flipped through the envelopes that were addressed to me. They had the same address as Kylie's.
I lived here?
