Born Under a Bad Sign (4)
Kylie's POV
Screaming.
I was internally screaming, trying not to show my fear when I knew that there was a monster close by feeding on my cries.
This is what it wanted. It wanted me to be full of fear and anxiety, it wanted to break me down so I couldn't focus on Sam.
It was working.
I was hyperventilating in the trunk of the car, I couldn't see anything, the air was thick, and I couldn't move.
It felt as if I had been stuck in the small space for days when I had known it had only been a couple of hours. Sam, or the thing pretending to be Sam, had the radio turn up loudly taunting me with heavy music that vibrated the car.
I tried to relax, I really did, but I was on the verge of passing out. That was until the car came to a halt.
I tried to listen, to see where I was but there was no sounds from a highway or a road, it was like we were out in the middle of no where.
I pounded on the trunk. "Let me out!" I yelled, trying to sound more angry that scared.
I jumped when someone pounded back harder than I could. "Don't worry Kylie," I heard Sam yell back, "you'll be out of there soon, then the fun will really begin."
"Sam, Sammy, listen to me." I called trying to sound normal. "You're in there, I know you are, you have to let me out . . . I-I'm going to die in here."
I listened to the footsteps as they went further and further away.
I tried to kick at the trunk of the car, trying to pop it open with my boot, but there was no way I was getting out that way, it only sent a shocking pain down my foot. There just wasn't enough room for momentum.
"Son of a bitch!" I screamed, tears finally escaping to stream down my face.
It was probably another hour before I heard those same footsteps coming back, the trunk finally lifting with a creak as and evil looking Sam grinned down at me.
"Aw, look at the big bad psychic now." He said before grabbing me by the hair and dragging me from the trunk.
I took in my surroundings, finding nothing but a highway and a roadside bar.
"You know I thought it would've been a lot harder to break you." Sam said as he drug me in the bar. "It only takes a tight space and a little darkness. Daddy really did a number on you, didn't he?"
I stayed silent, only to receive a blow to my head, making the world spin around me, my ears ringing. Sam continued to drag me through the door pushing me up against a wooden beam next to an unconscious Jo.
"So what is this, huh?" I asked as he tied my arms behind my back. "A game to mess with Sam and Dean?"
"Something like that." I heard the smile in his voice. "But now, it's a game to mess with you. So far it's been pretty easy. You should be . . . embarrassed."
"Yeah I'm definitely red in the face." I scoffed.
Sam strolled past me going to the jukebox, The Doors echoing through the bar.
"Jo, Jo, wake up." I tried.
Jo painfully opened her eyes, groaning slightly, a goose egg forming on her forehead. "What the hell is going on?" She looked at me as she struggled against the ties. "What are you doing?"
Sam came back around with a grin on his face. "So what exactly did your mom tell you about how your dad died?"
I raised a brow at his question, wondering what his game was.
