No Exit (1)
Kylie's POV
I leaned against the Impala, looking up at the beating sun as it's rays casted down up me.
Dean came around, his shadow blocking the sun. He held his duffel bag in his hands as he leaned down to place a kiss on my lips with hesitation.
He was constantly worried about touching me, fearing that just one touch could put me in vision mode.
I needed to put an end to it, needed to show him that I was still me and that I could handle his physical touch.
I smirked as he pulled away watching as he went to the back where Sammy stood awkwardly.
"So, where are we going?" I asked as I pushed my hair out of my face.
"Los Angeles, California." Dean nodded.
I tilted my head to the side as I shoved my hands in my jean pockets. "What's in L.A?" I let out with a chuckle.
"Young girl's been kidnapped by an evil cult." Dean nodded.
"Yeah?" I asked, standing up straight, interested. "Girl got a name?"
"Katie Holmes." He smirked.
Sam and I looked at each other before laughing hysterically.
"That's funny. And for you, so bitchy." Sam teased.
Our laughter stopped when we heard commotion coming from the Road House.
"Of course, on the other hand- catfight." Dean turned on his heel excitedly.
I let out a sigh, knowing exactly who was fighting.
"Maybe we should let them work it out." I offered, following Dean.
"What's the fun in that?" He smirked, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
We took a cautious step inside, making sure that nothing was going to be thrown at our heads, watching as Ellen and Jo slammed chairs down.
"I am your mother, I don't have to be reasonable!" Ellen yelled, her authority strong.
I loved Ellen, she was always good to us, but she scared me. I wouldn't dare talk back to her, and always scolded Dean when he ran his mouth.
"You can't keep me here!" Jo yelled equally as loud, clearly she didn't fear her mother like I did.
"Oh, don't you bet on that, sweetie." Ellen rolled her eyes.
"What are you going to do? Are you going to chain me up in the basement?" Jo shot, clearly angry.
I glanced up at Dean who only shrugged his shoulders.
"You know what, you've had worse ideas that that recently." Ellen scoffed. "Hey, you don't wanna stay, don't stay. Go back to school."
"I didn't belong there!" Jo exclaimed. "I was a freak with a knife collection!"
"Yeah, and getting yourself killed on some dusty back road, that's where you belong?"
Was I a hypocrite for siding with Ellen?
Jo was a cute girl, could probably hit it off with some college guy. So, why did she want to leave, go hunting, ruin her life? I couldn't help but be angry with her.
