Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (3)

Kylie's POV

"They buried the body four days ago."

I eyed the freshly dug grave and shook my head. "I don't get it." I let out as I shined the flashlight into the casket.

"Point the flashlight here." Sam instructed.

I moved the flashlight to where he was pointing and raised a brow.

On the lid of the casket, the lining was ripped and carved into the wood were weird symbols.

"What is that?" Dean asked.

"I'm not sure." Sam admitted.

There was a pause before Dean came to a realization.

"I've seen these kinds of symbols before."

-------------------------------

When Dean drove to Dr. Mason's office, he was angry, like scary angry. It sent a chill down my spine and made my body tense.

It got even worse when we stood outside of the door and Dean pounded heavily on it.

"Dean. Take it easy, okay." Sam tried to soothe him, but there was just a crazy look in Dean's eye one that told me that there was no way to soothe him.

Dr. Mason opened the door slowly, peering out before fully opening the door.

"You're Angie's friends, right?" He offered gently.

If Angela was alive, if he was keeping her, then why did he look so sad.

"Dr. Mason-"

"We need to talk." Dean interrupted me harshly.

I bit my lip as the older gentleman eyed us before stepping aside welcoming us like he trusted us.

"Well, then, come in."

"Thanks." Sam nodded.

We made our way into the office, and as soon as the door was shut behind us. Dean laid into the doctor with no sympathy.

"You teach Ancient Greek." He started as he pulled out a paper from his jacket pocket. "Tell me what are these?"

He showed Dr. Mason the paper we had printed out earlier, copied were symbols from the grave.

The doctor studied them before shaking his head, clearly confused.

"I-I don't understand." He admitted. "You said this had something to do with Angela."

"It does." Dean said coldly. "Please, just humor me."

Dr. Mason stared at the symbols on the paper again before shaking his head. "They're part of an ancient Greek divination ritual."

"Used for necromancy, right?"

"That's right." He nodded.

Dean shook his head and folded up the paper. "See, before we came over here we stopped by the library and did a little homework ourselves. Apparently they used rituals like this one for communication with the dead. Even bringing corpses back to life. Full-on zombie action."

"Dean." I let out quietly.

"Yes, I mean, according to the legends. Now what's all this about?"

Dr. Mason was clearly confused, not knowing what we were talking about.

He didn't bring Angela back from the dead.

"I think you know." Dean continued.

"Dean." Sam called warningly.
