Roadkill (2)
Kylie's POV
The four of us stood outside of the car, freezing our asses off as Molly paced with shock.
"This can't be happening." She let out.
"Well . . . Trust me. It's happening." Dean let out less then thrilled, as he went around the trunk of the car.
"Do you have to be so harsh?" I mumbled to him as he started pulling out the weaponry.
I felt Molly's eyes on us before she backed away slowly. "Well . . . Okay. Thanks for helping, but I think I got it covered from here."
I glanced at her as she continued to back away. "Wait. Molly, Molly wait a minute." I let out.
"Just leave me alone." She crossed her arms, trying to look strong as fear crossed her face.
"No, no, no." Sam let out, going after her. "You have to listen to me."
"Just stay away." She warned as she started to leave.
I let out a breath, running my fingers through my hair in frustration. "It wasn't a coincidence that we found you, all right?" I called.
Molly stopped mid-step before turning around and looking at us with a raised brow. "What are you talking about?"
"We weren't just cruising for chicks when we ran into you, sister." Dean let out making me grit my teeth with his bluntness. "We were already out here. Hunting."
"Hunting for what?" She asked confused.
"Ghosts."
I smacked Dean on the back of the head. "You're such an idiot sometimes!" I let out before shaking my head. "You couldn't just sugarcoat it for her?"
"You're nuts!" She called with disgust.
"Really?" Dean shrugged. "About as nuts as a vanishing guy with his guts spilling out." He raised a brow. "You know what you saw."
I resisted the urge to hit Dean again, knowing that I might cause even more damage to his brain than there already was.
"We think his name is Jonah Greeley." Sam nodded. "He was a local farmer that died 15 years ago on this highway."
"Just . . . stop." She begged.
"One night a year, on the anniversary of his death, he haunts this road." Sam continued despite his plea. "That's why we're here, Molly. To try and stop him."
Molly glanced at me. "You believe this stuff?" She asked.
I bit my lip and nodded. "The things I've seen, you would too."
She nodded, lost in thought before tucking her hands in her pockets and walking forward. "Now I suppose this . . . ghost made my car disappear, too."
"Crazier things have happened, huh?" Dean gave a side smirk.
"You know what? I'm all filled up on crazy. I'm gonna get the cops myself." She let out .
"I don't mean to be harsh, but I don't think you're gonna get too far."
I flinched before glaring at Dean.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, her voice shaking in fear.
"Mean that plan A was trying to get you out of here." Dean shrugged. "Obviously that didn't go over too well with, uh, Farmer Roadkill."
"Molly, where're telling the truth." I let out, rubbing my temple. "Greeley's not gonna let you leave this highway."
