Houses of the Holy (3)
Kylie's POV
Bright light and a sense of euphoria washed over me, I felt safe in my own little world and for once painless.
"Hello?" I called.
"Do not be afraid Kylie. I am an angel of the Lord."
I looked around the bright little room, but found no one, with confusion I spun around searching for this angel.
"Angel? The one that has been getting revenge on those people?" I asked, not feeling any fear.
"Those people were sinners, you saw what they were capable of." The voice paused. "It is now your turn to smite the evil."
"Smite the evil . . ." I trailed, sinking into the feeling of bliss. "What did he do?"
"Nothing . . . Yet." The angel's voice echoed. "But you will know, I will give you a sign from Heaven."
"Say I do what God wants." I breathe out. "Will he heal me?" I ask, desperation clear in my voice.
The angel was quiet at first before speaking with a confidence that, I had yet to hear from the Winchesters.
"You provide to the Lord, he will provide for you. He will heal you, take away all of your pain and suffering."
"How will I-"
"Kylie? Kylie! Hey!" I was being shaken away and brought back to the world of pain and confusion, my body stiff and my head pounded.
"Oh God." I let out, the feeling of nausea taking over like a freight chain.
"Baby, are you okay?" I heard Dean's panicked voice.
I opened my eyes, flinching at the florescent bulbs. I was in Sam's arms, Dean looking over me.
I groaned as I attempted to sit up, but Dean knelt down beside us, pushing me into Sam's arms.
"Just stay back and relax for a minute, okay?" Dean bit his lip, his hands going to his hair.
"I'm okay." I let out, pushing myself to my feet, swaying slightly.
"You sure?" Sam let out, as he got to his feet as well.
"Yeah, yeah." I let out a slight chuckle as I look up at the stone angel, stunned. "I'm okay."
"Come on." Dean says abruptly as he wraps his arms around me, helping me walk as if I'm incapable.
"Dean I'm fine." I chuckled as he led me into the sanctuary.
He sat me on the nearest bench before going over to the door, shutting it behind us.
Sam smiled at me. "You saw it, didn't you? Didn't you?" He asked excitedly.
"Yeah Sammy. I saw . . . well more or less heard an angel." I smiled.
"You . . ." Dean trailed, before pulling out his flask. "All right. Here." He offered it to me after unscrewing.
I pushed his hand back and shook my head. "I don't want a drink."
Dean paused, giving a little shrug before taking a swig. "So." He started as Sam moved to sit next to me. "What makes you think you saw a, uh, angel?" He asked with disbelief.
"It just," I smiled and turned to look at Sam, who looked more intrigued than Dean. "It just appeared before me and I just . . . " I shook my head, looking for words. "This feeling washed over me, you know? There was no pain, there was no confusion. It was like peace. Like grace."
