The next day,
Hayden was sat at his desk in his room, doing homework when his mom walked in

"Alright, we're going now. Remember-" she started

"I'm not allowed anyone here. I know. I'm to busy with homework anyway." Hayden said

"Ok. See you."

"Yeah..." Hayden said before his mom went downstairs and a couple of minutes later, he heard her and his dad leave

He grabbed his phone to text Johnny

'They've gone. Are you close?'

'Sorry, stalker. I got home from school and my mom was sick. I don't wanna leave her when we only just made up.'

'Oh... it's ok. I understand.'

'I'm really sorry. Another time, tho. I love you xxx'

'I love you to xxx'

Hayden sighed as he set his phone on his desk and kicked back from the desk and his chair moved back against the wall

Johnny put his phone in his pocket. He looked out the window at the huge house across the road.
He saw the front door open and two young kids ran out followed by a woman and they went over to the SUV parked in the driveway and she pulled out and drove away.

Johnny got out of his car and walked across the road.
He walked up the porch and to the front door. He waiting a second before he rang the doorbell

He waited nervously for a minute until the door opened and Johnny saw a taller man in his early 30s, brown slicked back hair and a groomed stubble and was in a business shirt

"Hey, can I help you?" He asked Johnny

"Uh... are you- uh, are you Grey Davis?" Johnny asked nervously

"Yeah, that's me. And you are? Look pretty young to be a door to door salesman." Grey joked and Johnny laughed nervously

"I'm Johnny."

"Johnny what?" Grey asked

Johnny smirked slightly "Orlando."

Grey's face turned serious

"Look, kid, I'm not in the mood for a wind up." Grey said before he went to shut the door

"I'm not messing around!" Johnny shouted "My mom's name is Grace and when you found out she was pregnant, you and your parents fucked off to England and abandoned her."

Grey looked at him "What're you doing here?"

"I just decided to look you up. Didn't realise you lived 20 minutes away."

"Come in." Grey said and he let Johnny

Johnny looked around the huge foyer. The interior of the house was modern

"So... how's your mom?" Grey asked him

"Alright. Disabled and I'm her carer. You're doing better with your surgeon job that earns you over 200k a year and your lawyer wife who earns a 100k a year. And your expensive 900k house in the one of the most respected neighbourhoods in America."
