In Love With a Bully- Johayden

Part 20

Hayden carried a drink upstairs back to his room.
As he went into his room, he heard a knock at his window and he set his drink in his desk as he walked over to the window and saw Johnny sitting on the roof

"Hey." Johnny said as Hayden opened the window

"What're you doing here?"

"I thought we could do what we planned." Johnny said

"What about your mom?" Hayden asked as he let Johnny climb through the window

"She's..." Johnny started "Look, I hate lying to you."

"What?"

"My mom's not sick." Johnny said

"So why didn't you wanna come round earlier?" Hayden asked him "Don't you like me or something?"

"What? No! No, no! I love you." Johnny said quickly and held onto Hayden's arms "I was really excited for tonight."

"So why did you change your mind at the last second?"

"You know the argument with my mom I told you about the other night?" Johnny asked

"Yeah..."

"Well, during the argument, she told me my dad's name."

"And..?" Hayden asked

"We made up last night. She brought my dad and... when I went to bed, I couldn't stop thinking about, so I... I search him up online." Johnny said

"And you found him?" Hayden asked as Johnny sat down at the end of his bed

"Yeah... he lives 20 minutes away. He's rich as fuck. He's a surgeon and his wife's lawyer. And they've got two kids together."

"You went to see him, didn't you?" Hayden asked and Johnny nodded "Why didn't you tell me in school? I could've come with you."

"I didn't tell anyone cos I was going there to confront him. Ask him why he left. That's all."

"And I'm guessing you got the answers you wanted?"

"I dunno. I didn't go there wanting anything except to confront him. I wasn't expecting him to even answer my questions." Johnny told him

"Did he tell you why he left?"

"His parents forced him to. They left to England. He had no choice. And he tries to years to get in touch my mom, but she kept rejecting him. He even sent me birthday cards every year for ten years, but my mom sent them back. He gave up because he figured it wasn't worth to keeping doing it. I've got all the cards in my car."

"So you think he's a good guy after all?" Hayden asked

"From what I've seen, yeah. Even if I get to know him and he's a complete asshole, I've still got a little brother and sister out there." Johnny said "What do you think I should do?"

"It's not my decision."

"But I want your opinion. You're my boyfriend, I want to know what you think." Johnny told him

"Ok... well... I think you should talk to your mom about this. Ask her why she's hidden stuff from you." Hayden said

"And what about Grey? Should I get to know him?" Johnny asked

"I know it's not the same thing, but... I'd give anything to talk to my parents- my birth parents. And I can't, but you can talk to your dad. I think you should just give him a chance."

Johnny stood up and looked at Hayden
They smiled at each other as Johnny moved his hand across Hayden's cheek

"I don't deserve you." Johnny said
