A couple of days later,
Johnny laid in bed. He felt exhausted, even though he'd spent most of his time sleeping.
He looked over at the alarm clock on the side table and saw it was nearly 1pm.

He groaned as he got out of bed, wearing a hoodie and shorts. He put his hood over his head as he stood up and left the room.

He went downstairs and saw the backdoor was open and he could hear Grey talking from outside.

He went out to the backyard and saw Olivia swinging back and forth in the swings and Grey was on the phone near her

Johnny walked over to him as Grey put his phone down

"You ok?" Grey asked him and Johnny shrugged his shoulders

"What're you doing?" Johnny asked as Grey was scrolling through his phone

"Someone at the hospital needs emergency heart surgery. I'm trying to call Olivia's nanny to get here."

"I'm here." Johnny said "I can look after her."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. Go on." Johnny told him

"Ok... just call me if you need me." Grey said before he quickly went inside

Johnny walked over to Olivia, his hands in his pocket.

"You ok?" He asked her

"Yeah. Where's dad gone?"

"He's had to go deal with something at work." Johnny said as he sat down on the swing next to her

"When are you going back to school?" Olivia asked

"I dunno. When dad and the principal think I'm ready. Why?"

"I like having you around." She said

Johnny smiled weakly "You hungry?" He asked, noticing Olivia was holding her stomach

"Yuh huh. Starving." She said

"Come on." Johnny said as he stood up "Ill make you some food."

Olivia followed Johnny back inside and Johnny picked her up and sat her on the counter

"So what do you want?" He asked

"Can I have some sandwiches please?"

"Sandwiches? I thought you were starving?"

"I am. Just don't wanna bother you."

"Fine! I'll do what I want you to have." Johnny said "How about... pancakes?"

"Yeah!" Olivia said with a smile and Johnny laughed

Johnny set the plate of pancakes down on the table in front of Olivia

"Thank you." She said as Johnny sat opposite her "What're you having?"

"I'm not hungry."

Olivia looked down at her food before she pushed her plate away

"If you're not eating, I'm not either." She said, folding her arms

Johnny smiled weakly. His mom used to this whenever he wouldn't eat

"Fine." Johnny said before he took a pancake off the plate "Happy?"

"Yep." Olivia said as she pulled the plate back to her and they both ate "Can you take me to the park?"

"Uh... sure... after you've eaten and I've gotten dressed." Johnny said

A couple of hours later,
Johnny strapped Olivia into her car seat and got in the driver's seat
