Part 24

The next morning,
Hayden went over to Annie's house after she asked him to come over.

"Hey, Hayden." Annie's mom said as her and Annie's dad walked outside

"Hi, is Annie in?" Hayden asked

"Yeah, she's up in her room with Asher. Just go up." She told him

"Alright, thanks."

Hayden went up to the front door and went inside as he heard Annie's parents drive away

He shut the front door before he went upstairs and over to Annie's room and knocked the door

"Come in."

Hayden walked in and saw Annie sitting at the end of her bed and Asher was sat at her desk

"So what's going on? Why have you called us here?" Asher asked Annie

"I lied yesterday." She said

"Lied about what?"

Annie looked over at Hayden

"She's pregnant." Hayden said

Asher looked at Hayden and back at Annie

"Is he joking?" He asked and Annie shook her head "So... you're pregnant? And the first person you told was Hayden?!"

"I didn't mean to tell him. He just sort of... guessed." Annie said

Asher stood up from her desk, "Why didn't you tell me yesterday?"

"Because you clearly didn't want it! I didn't even want to tell you."

"Then why are you telling me now?" Asher asked

Annie looked up at him "Because... I don't know if it's yours."

"So you're saying... have you been sleeping with another guy?!" Asher shouted

"No! She hasn't!" Hayden said quickly "She means me. I could be the Dad from when we had sex. Before you two even or together."

"Ash, you know I would never cheat on you." Annie said as she stood up "I love you. You're my boyfriend and my best friend."

"So what do you wanna do about this?" Asher asked her

Annie sighed, "I don't know. What do you guys wanna do?"

Asher and Hayden looked at each other

"It's up to you. It's your body. We'll support you no matter what." Hayden said

"Yeah, he's right. This is all up to you." Asher said

"I'm not sure what I want to do."

"Ok... well, we've got a choice. You get an abortion and we never find out who the father is. Or you have the baby, we find out who the father is with a DNA test... but then what? None of us actually really want this baby, do we?" Asher said

"We could always put it up for adoption." Annie said

"Is that what you want?" Hayden asked

"I don't know. But if either of you want this, I'll keep it and you can have it."

"Hang on... you'd carry and give birth to a baby you don't even want just so one of us could have it?" Asher asked

"Well, yeah... it's your baby to. You've got as much a right as I do."

"Well... I don't want it." Asher said

"What about you?" Annie asked Hayden

Hayden looked at her, "I... I don't know what I want. Can you just give me some time to make up my mind?"
