Two weeks later,
Johnny looked out at the audience through the curtain and saw his mom, Grey, Claire and Claudia at the front row and Hayden's parents were sat next to them

He went backstage and saw Hayden talking to other cast members.
They were all in costumes, clothes from the 80s.

Johnny was stood on stage with other cast members, talking.

"Look at them!" Some one said, pointing at Hayden and a couple of girls as they walked on stage

"I call the blonde."

"Ritchie, looks like you're stuck distracting the gay boy." One of the guys said and Johnny laughed awkwardly

"Go on. Get him away away from them."

They pushed Johnny towards Hayden.

"Uh... hi." Johnny said awkwardly

"Hey..."

"So... I'm Ritchie." Johnny said

"Aaron.."

Johnny looked back at the guys behind him and they indicated for him to hurry up

"Do you wanna go get something to eat?" He asked Hayden

"Sure." Hayden said

Johnny and Hayden were sat on a bench prop on stage on their own

"Surprised you're ok with hanging out with a gay boy." Hayden said

"Could say the same to you."

"What...? You're gay?"

"Yeah." Johnny said "Have you ever... been with a guy?"

"Uh.. no. Not really. Have you?"

"Yeah. A few times." Johnny told him

"Like hook ups?"

Johnny laughed, "There's been a couple."

"Bit risky. With this whole AIDS thing."

"You don't really believe that do you? A disease that only kills gay men? Sure..."

"My uncle died from it." Hayden said

"Gay, was he?"

"Yeah. My family disowned him and when he died, they burnt all his things." Hayden said

"So I'm guessing your parents don't know about you?" Johnny asked and Hayden shook his head

"Do your parents know? That you're gay?" Hayden asked

"Like hell they do. They'd kill me." Johnny said

"Look, I need to go. My parents are expecting me back by 10."

"Right, ok..." Johnny said as Hayden stood up "Aaron, can I see you again?"

Hayden smirked "Yeah I'd love that."

Johnny stood up and took a pen from his pocket

"Call me." He said as he pretended to write his number on Hayden's hand

"Yeah... course. See you, Ritchie."

"See you." Johnny said as Hayden walked off stage

Johnny smiled as he walked backwards and walked off the other side of the stage
