Alexandra rolled over slightly, pushing herself further into Elijah's bare chest. As if feeling the heat from his body, Alexandra opened her eyes slowly and smiled at the sight of Elijah sleeping peacefully beside her.
"It's rude to stare you know." Elijah mumbled his eyes remaining closed. Alexandra blushed and threw her arm over his body. Elijah opened his eyes and stared directly into hers with a smile. "Good morning."
"Good morning." Alexandra replied before leaning her head up and kissing his lips gently. Elijah smiled into the kiss and pushed her so that she was laying on her back and he was hovering over her. Slowly he pulled away and he paused.
"Niklaus has gone to Mystic Falls for the day, whatever shall we do?" Elijah asked with a playful smile upon his lips. Alexandra chuckled before Elijah used his vamp-sped to run them into the bathroom. Alex let out a squeal as the shower water hit her back.

After Alex and Elijah changed they walked into the kitchen, hand in hand. Alexandra was laughing at something Elijah had said as they entered. They paused noticing Rebekah and Hayley sitting at the table eating breakfast. Rebekah was smiling brightly towards them while Hayley had a scowl placed on her lips.
"Good morning." Alexandra said while pulling her hand from Elijah's and walking over to the fridge. Rebekah glanced at Elijah as if asking if she was okay after everything that happened last night. Elijah sent her a nod before walking over to the cabinet to grab a bowl.
"You seem cheery this morning." Hayley commented, which caused both originals to send her a glare. Alexandra stiffened as she thought about last night and it made her question herself, as to why she seemed so happy this morning when her sister just died. As if noticing her frozen, Elijah walked over and collected her hand. Alex looked up at him and he sent her a comforting smile, to which she returned.
"Cereal?" Elijah question ignoring Hayley's comment. Alexandra nodded in agreement before pulling the milk from the fridge. Annoyed that the attention hadn't been brought to her, Hayley stood up and left the kitchen. Alex's eyes watched her leave and she frowned.
"Why doesn't she like me? All I've done is help protect her, yet she hates me." Alexandra commented placing the milk down on the table. Rebekah scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"Hayley is just jealous and the pregnancy isn't helping her hormones'." Rebekah explained. Alexandra thought about it for a moment before nodding. Elijah poured in her cereal before tipping in the milk and handing it to her. Alex thanked him before she started eating, Elijah stood behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist and his head resting on her shoulder. "Niklaus is in Mystic Falls for the day, what shall we do?"
"Alexandra and I will be going out, you can keep Hayley company." Elijah stated. Rebekah rolled her eyes before leaving the kitchen. Alex sent Elijah a look and he just shrugged not really caring if his little sister had a problem. "Come on."
Alexandra placed her bowl into the sink before Elijah grabbed her arm and they left the compound together. Elijah took her to an arcade and won her a giant teddy bear before taking her to get ice cream.
"We still haven't really discussed the whole soulmate thing." Alexandra commented as she and Elijah sat down in a park bench. Elijah nodded while undoing his blazer button and leaning forward slightly.
"Well, when I had the first dream I didn't think anything of it. Although as they progressed and started coming more frequently I went to a witch. She explained to me that every 100 years fate brings two people together, now usually it's two people from the same time period yet for some reason fate chose you." Elijah started to explained. Alexandra sat down staring at him intently as she listened.
"Did the witch know why?" Alexandra asked while shifting in her spot. Elijah shook his head.
"She herself didn't know why. The witch explained to me what it meant to be soulmates. There are certain...stages to the bond we share. The electricity shots we felt have stopped because we shared out first kiss. Although she explained to me that after our first intercourse we would start to feel each other's emotions." Elijah continued. Alexandra blushed as she remembered their first time last night. Elijah smiled feeling the bubbly feeling Alex was feeling. "Like right now. You are feeling bubbly as you remember our time last night."
Alexandra blushed harder then before and looked away from him. Elijah chuckled and moved his hand to pull her face back towards his. She smiled up at him and he leaned down capturing her lips in a soft yet passionate kiss. Alexandra pushed her lips harder against his and Elijah moaned softly into it. They pulled away, slightly out of breathe before Elijah held out his hand to her. Alexandra took it before they started walking again.
"Was there anything else?" Alexandra asked as they made their way down the street. Elijah thought for a moment.
"Yes, not that we will be worrying about this anytime soon but the witch also informed me that we may be able to procreate. I didn't believe her at first because I am a vampire but meeting you kind of put things in a different perspective." Elijah stated. Alexandra's eyes widened at the realization that one day she and Elijah could have a kid together. Not that they'd want one now as their relationship was still new and they had Niklaus and Hayley's baby to think about first. They paused out front of a bar and Alex stopped him before he walked in.
"We shouldn't go here." Alex mumbled softly not wanting to enter. Elijah turned and looked at her confused. He went to reply but stopped as the door opened and Xavier walked out. Alex signed and Elijah glanced at the werewolf before stepping in front of Alexandra protectively.
"Hey babe." Xavier smirked completely ignoring Elijah's presence. Elijah growled and went to attack the werewolf, but Alex pulled him back. "Alexandra, don't walk away from me!" Xavier yelled after them. He ran and grasped Alex's arm, spinning her into his own arms.
"Let go of me." Alexandra growled. She struggled in his grip before Elijah grabbed Xavier by the throat and pushed him up against the wall.
"I told you if you touched her, I'd kill you." Elijah exclaimed angrily, his vampire features coming out and Xavier shivered. Alexandra's eyes widened and she quickly placed her hand on Elijah's arm.
"Eli, calm down. I'm okay, please let's just go." Alexandra begged. Elijah looked at her before glaring once more at Xavier. He dropped him to the ground before Alex dragged Elijah away. Elijah seemed furious, and as they arrived back at the compound he just couldn't contain the questions anymore.
"Who is he?" Elijah asked and Alex closed her eyes knowing the question was bound to come sometime.
"He's my ex." Alexandra expressed and Elijah nodded but his anger still hadn't gone away. Alex started to walk away but Elijah grabbed her waist, pulling her back.
"Why does he continue to call you babe?" Elijah asked. Alexandra signed again and looked towards a wall. Elijah noticed her hesitation as he snaked his hand under her chin, forcing her to look up at him. "Alexandra-"
"Because he's obsessed with me. I broke up with him like a week before your family came into New Orleans. Although even though we broke up he still flirts and touches me. When we were together he use to..." Alexandra started her voice getting softer as tears rose in her eyes as she explained her past relationship. Elijah's eyes softened and even though his anger towards the werewolf grew, he knew she needed him.
"It's okay, you don't have to go into detail. I'm sorry I forced you to tell me." Elijah apologized, hugging the witch into his arms tightly. Alexandra rested she head on his chest and cried.
"No, it's okay. You told me about your past relationships. It was only fair." Alexandra stated as she slowly pulled herself away. Elijah raised his hands and wiped her tears away while sending her a comforting smile. Deciding to call it a day, Elijah lead Alexandra up to their now shared bedroom. They laid together as Elijah soothed Alex's back as she laid with her head on his chest. As Alexandra fell off into a deep slumber, Elijah remained awake with his arm holding her protectively.
