Alexandra wondered aimlessly around the compound, cleaning up and placing books back on bookshelves. She knew there wasn't much she could do as her locator spells weren't getting them anywhere. Someone was blocking her magic."She killed herself." Alexandra asked as she held her phone to her ear speaking to Elijah. Alex walked across the landing, towards the stairs as Elijah explained what happened to Annie La Fleur.
"Yes, drowned herself in the Mississippi, to be precise; Celeste was clearly tired of the body and ready to take Sabine's." Elijah continued. Alexandra frowned her eyebrows as she entered the study, smiling towards Hayley and putting the phone on speaker.
"How do you know that?" Alexandra asked as she took a seat on the lounge, throwing her feet over the armrest. Hayley chuckled before continuing with whatever it was she was typing.
There was a moment of silence before Elijah spoke again, "Because she leapt to her death from the very location Celeste and I had our first kiss." Alexandra bit her lip to stop herself from bursting out in laughter.
"Poetic, I guess... in a creepy vendetta sort of way." Alexandra stated, her voice just above a whisper but Elijah still heard it and chuckled.
"All these names, these lives, stolen that Celeste might take her revenge. I suppose we have no choice but to see where they take us. Alexandra, I have to go. I'll call you back." Elijah expressed his breathing picking up and Alex could tell he was moving quicker then before.
Before he could hang up, Hayley called out to him, "Elijah, wait!"
"What is it?" Elijah asked and Alexandra could tell he had stopped walking. Hayley stood up and stepped over to sit next to Alex and picked up the phone.
"Ask Marcel if he knows anything about a name on that list Brynne Deveraux. Sophie said that it was her family's bloodline that put the curse on the crescent wolves, but Celeste said that she was the only one that could break it. If Brynne Deveraux was actually Celeste when she cast the spell, then maybe Celeste can still break it." Hayley explained softly. Alex sat up straighter and sent the werewolf a comforting smile.
"I'll see what he knows." Elijah replied and Hayley sent Alex a smile before thanking him and leaving the room. Alexandra picked the phone up again and placed it to her ear before letting out a sign.
"Elijah, I know you are feeling guilty about not being there to save me but you made the right choice in saving Hayley. Your siblings will be fine." Alexandra stated softly. She could feel his emotions calming down, love over taking his fear and Alex knew he was smiling.
"I'll be home soon. I love you." Elijah exclaimed meaningfully. Alexandra smiled to herself.
"See you soon Eli." Alexandra replied before hanging up the phone. She didn't even get to stand up before her phone was vibrating again. Alex answered it and placed it to her ear again. "Yes?"
"You didn't say it back." Elijah whined and Alexandra laughed softly at the fact that he called her back just because she didn't tell him she loved him in return. "You have to say it back."
"And if I don't?" Alexandra asked, her voice soft and innocent which caused Elijah to let out a possessive growl. "I love you too Elijah. Now hurry up so that I can see you." Alexandra added before hanging up the phone, not waiting for his response. She half expected him to call her back again but he didn't and she didn't mind.
An hour passed before Elijah and Marcel returned. Hayley sat at the office desk typing away at the computer while Alexandra sat on the lounge with a map in front of her, still trying every locator spell she could. Alex held her hands over the map and started chanting, she could feel the blood falling from her nose and before she could finish the spell, the map in front of her had been pulling from the table making her eyes shoot open.
"I was so close, what the hell?" Alexandra exclaimed, standing up on her feet quickly and sending Elijah a glare.
"I want to find them just as bad as you, but not at the extent of your own life." Elijah stated firmly as he folded the map and rested it back on the table. Alexandra rolled her eyes before Marcel walked into the room.
"Find anything about Clara, the mystery witch?" Marcel asked as he moved around the office desk and crossed his arms. Alexandra walked over to stand next to him and sent him a reassuring smile.
"Not much. She was a nurse as the Fleur De Lis Sanatorium." Hayley started and Alex felt Marcel freeze beside her. He moved to stand next to Hayley, looking down at the laptop. "Recognize her?" Hayley asked as she clicked onto a photo and points out a women. "Top row, second from the right."
"No, I don't. Marcel." Elijah asked as he looked up and notices the vampires odd behaviour. "Marcel? Do I need to remind you that Niklaus and Rebekah are somewhere suffering horribly? If you know something, talk." Elijah continued stepping up to the younger vampire. Alexandra uncrossed her arms and rested them to her side watching them both closely.
"The Sanatorium. That's where you'll find them." Marcel expressed, confidence laced in his voice. Alexandra raised her eyebrows confused as to how he'd know.
"Are you sure?" Hayley asked
"How do you know?" Alexandra asked as well.
Marcel stopped his pacing and looked up at both girls, "I just know." Marcel stated, still hiding something and Elijah was determined to find out what.
"How do you know?" Elijah asked the same question, pressing for an answer. Marcel paused and looked up at Elijah knowing fully well his confession was gonna put him into some deep waters.
"If I'm right, you need to know exactly what we're walking into. We did something, Rebekah and I." Marcel started. Elijah crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, telling him to continue. "I think the witches are trying to use it against her. It was, uh... something that you're not gonna like."
After a moment of silence Marcel went on to explain that he and Rebekah had summoned Mikael to New Orleans back in 1919. Alexandra's eyes widened at the information and she could feel Elijah's rage piling up by the second, although he continued to remain calm. "For the better part of a century, I have wondered how father found us, what foolish mistake that we had made to destroy our time in the one place that we could finally call home. Did you know, I even blamed myself for a time, Marcellus?" Elijah stated and the guilt piled up within Marcel. Before anymore words were spoken, Elijah had grabbed Marcel by the throat and vamp sped them across the room, pinning Marcel to the wall.
"Elijah..!" Alexandra and Hayley both exclaimed as they ran after them, standing a few steps away just watching knowing they wouldn't stand a chance against him.
"Niklaus treated you like a son. Rebekah." Elijah exclaimed through his teeth, pushing Marcel further into the wall. Alex went to step forward but Elijah turned his head, sending her a look to stay where she was.
"I loved her. I still love her. All we ever wanted was to be together, but as long as Klaus was around, that was never gonna happen. But hey, I guess you wouldn't know anything about that, huh?" Marcel chocked out. Elijah paused and Alexandra raised her eyebrows at Marcel's words. A second passed before Elijah dropped him and took a step back.
"When Klaus learns the truth, there will be no end to his rage. I will not let my sister suffer that wrath." Elijah stated, although it sounded more like a threat. Alexandra again crossed her arms, waiting for the two of them to calm down.
Marcel stepped past Elijah before pausing and looking back at him. "Then we need to get to them before he learns the truth." Elijah nodded before they both started to leave. Hayley and Alexandra followed but stopped on the balcony as the two boys made their way to the front entrance. Elijah paused and turned to look back at Alex, she sent him a smile and raised her hand to her lips, blowing him a kiss. Elijah lifted his own arm and pretended to catch it before placing it on his lips. He quickly turned and left following after Marcel.
"I've got a plan, Elijah won't like it but it's the only way I'm gonna help my family. Are you in?" Hayley asked from beside her. Alexandra turned her head and nodded before Hayley grabbed a shovel and they left the compound in Alex's car, speeding to the Sanatorium.
They hid by the car and smiled at each other as Celeste walked out and trotted down the front stairs. Alexandra grabbed the shovel before sneaking up behind her, and hits her over the head, hard. Celeste lets out a groan as Hayley walks over. "Hey, there, witch bitch. You and I are gonna have a little chat."
