The wind blew furiously down the abandoned streets of New Orleans. There was a crescent moon that hung in the sky, shining brightly down upon the cemented roads. The buzzing of the street lights as they flickered was that only sound that captivated the young witch who walked the streets alone.Alexandra Claire turned the corner to enter bourbon street, that's where all the tourists were. She smiled to herself as she trotted down the sidewalk passing all different kinds of people. Alexandra paused out front of Rousseau bar. She pushed the doors open and walked in, getting out of the wind.
Alexandra looked around the room before she smiled and waved towards Hayley. She walked over and took a seat next to her at the bar.
"Evening Hayley." Alexandra greeted announcing her presence to the werewolf. Hayley turned her head and nodded towards the witch.
"Alex." Hayley acknowledged before turning back to the Gumbo in front of her.
"Third time in here this week." Jane-Anne stated walking up to the two girls from behind the bar. She gave Alexandra a look before focusing in on Hayley. Alexandra rolled her eyes before hailing to another bartender asking for a drink.
"What can I say? I'm obsessed with The Gumbo, Jane-Anne." Hayley claimed. Jane-Anne chuckled and nodded while picking up a glass, wiping the inside of it and placing it back on the self.
"The old ladies in the ninth ward say my sister Sophie bleeds a piece of her soul into every dish." Jane-Anne expressed. Hayley let out a chuckle while Alexandra sat in silence not at all interested in their conversation.
"I asked around the quarter about my family." Hayley stated changing the subject. This peaked Alexandra's interest. She turned her head leaning slightly against the bar looking at Hayley.
"And?" Alexandra asked while Jane-Anne moved closer so that they could whisper and not be overheard.
"Nothing. Zero. Can't find a single person who remembers them." Hayley confessed. Jane-Anne moved back a little. Alexandra signed slightly disappointed. Hayley had been here for almost four weeks and hadn't found anything relating to her family.
"Because, Hayley, people like you were run out of here years ago." Jane-Anne emphasized. Hayley raised an eyebrow confused as she glanced between Alexandra and Jane-Anne.
"What do you mean?" Hayley asked confused as to how the wolves were run out of town and why.
"In the Bayou, they call the werewolves Roux-Ga-Roux. You head out there; you'll find what you're looking for. Be careful. It's the last place you'd ever want to go." Jane-Anne concluded. Hayley eyed her suspiciously before nodding in thanks. She finished the Gumbo in front of her before standing and leaving the bar. Alexandra watched as she left before turning back to Jane-Anne.
"Don't hurt her. We could be wrong." Alexandra stated. Jane-Anne gave her a look before turning and walking into the kitchen. Alexandra signed to herself before throwing a $10 dollar bill on the table and leaving the bar.
