Alexandra held the daggers behind her back as she walked out the back door. Rebekah sat on the back porch, watching the pool water sway with the breeze. Hayley was sitting next to her as Alexandra joined them.
"I know you don't know me very well... but thanks. I appreciate what you did in there." Hayley spoke as Alexandra sat down. Rebekah turned her head and nodded towards the werewolf.
"Us girls have got to look out for each other." Rebekah replied. Hayley nodded slowly before leaning back in her chair.
"What is it with you two? You say you hate him, but the way you deal with him, it's so clear. Even when you hate him, you still love him." Alexandra commented. Rebekah chuckled and nodded in agreement. Alex shuffled on her chair slightly, getting even more comfortable.
"I guess when you spend a thousand years with someone, deciding to quit them is like losing a part of yourself. But sometimes the hate is just... so powerful. Emil wasn't the only boyfriend of mine that Klaus killed. He did it again, and again, and every time I found someone to care about. He just kept doing it until, finally, I stopped falling in love. He said he was protecting me from my mistakes, that no one was ever good enough for his little sister. Until one day, someone was." Rebekah explained, a memory planned within Rebekah's mind as she explained her relationship with Marcel to the two girls. They were shocked to say the least. Alexandra eyes Rebekah for a moment before reaching behind her and pulling the daggers from behind her back. She unfolds the white cloth they were wrapped in and revealed four daggers. "Oh, my god."
"I found them under your coffin. You don't deserve to be treated like a sheet of glass Rebekah. You should be able to choose who you want to love. Heartbreak and pain are just all apart of life, no one should have the right to take that away from you." Alexandra expressed. Tears rose in Rebekah's eyes as she looked from the daggers to Alexandra. She smiled gratefully and Alexandra smiled back. Rebekah took them from her hands before standing up and walking back inside. Alexandra stayed seated and watched as Hayley too left.
"Evening Alexandra." A new voice entered her train of thought. Alex turned her head and smiled brightly at the sight of the eldest original. Alexandra stood up and engulfed the Original in a hug, he stiffened before returning it slowly.
"I'm sorry. I let him keep you daggered, I shouldn't have, I should have woken you up. You didn't deserve to be daggered when all you were doing was helping me and Hayley and the baby." Alexandra cried into Elijah's chest. He hushed her and soothed her back, rubbing soft circles. After a few more seconds Alexandra finally realized what they were doing and pulled away quickly. "I'm sorry, that was weird. I shouldn't have hugged you. You don't even know me that well. I'm going to bed. Goodnight."
Without waiting for a reply Alexandra took her leave and fast walked back inside hoping Elijah wouldn't follow her. Elijah stood on the back porch with furrowed eyebrows, he had waited his whole life to finally meet her. The girl who had invaded his dreams a couple centuries ago. The girl who he thought was just a figment of his imagination, now real, involved with his family.
At first he hadn't thought it true, he hadn't had a dream about her in nearly 25 years. Yet, when they touched, he knew. He knew who she was, that she was in fact, his soulmate. He didn't understand it, but he was also fighting with himself, even though he wanted to know the girl in real life now, there was a nagging in the back of his mind. 'Everyone you love ends up dead, she'll be next if you pursue her.' Shaking off the feeling, Elijah walked back inside the house and into his room even though he knew he wouldn't be getting any sleep tonight.

Alexandra wondered down the stairs and into the kitchen making herself something to eat. She waited patiently for the toast to pop up and her phone buzzed. Alexandra picked it up and noticed it was a message from Cami, asking if she could come help her today. Alexandra smiled to herself before replying.
